Wild on You

In Tina Wainscott's Wild on You, the first installment in the Justiss Alliance romantic suspense series, she brought out the wild side of two people who are destined for each other. For Rick "Risk" Yarbrough, a former Navy-SEAL, he was assigned to watch over Addie Wunder from death threats and other attempts on her life. It was no baby-sitting job, since she was an animal activist and a vegetarian to boot, when he had tempted the wild side of her. For Addie, she didn't mean to settle down and change her ways. But with more attempts on her life brought her closer to Rick, it made her fall in love with him, when danger followed not too far behind.

This was a fantastic romantic suspense novel. I instantly cared about Rick and Addie on this wild and crazy romantic adventure. I loved how Addie thought for animal rights and became a vegetarian, just because of that reason. I adored Rick on how he protected her and tempted her a few times. I thought Elrod was a pain in the butt and got what he deserved in the end. I loved the dual locations of Virginia and Miami for the settings of this great novel. This would take you on the wild side, too. Great drama, great heated romance and suspense with plenty of non-stop action and intrigue as well.

Dying for Dinner Rolls

In Lois Lavrisa's Dying for Dinner Rolls, the first installment in the Chubby Chicks Club culinary cozy series, she introduced us to a group of friends with this new cozy series debut. When Cat Thompson's friend Lucy was found murdered in her home, she didn't believe it was suicide. It was up to her and her friend Annie to figure it out for themselves. When they re-evaluated her life for clues, Cat also wondered more about who wanted to murder her father and searched for answers with a sedoku crossword puzzle. When they get closer to the truth, they figured out who it was and get caught into an embroiled mess.

For this charming culinary cozy debut, I did care about Cat and her friends. Talk about a diverse background, including her heritage for her origins. I did feel sorry for Lucy and hated her husband Bert for being a lying cheat and a sneak. I liked the small town location in Georgia and the idealistic settings that took place there. This was a fun read that would make you keep turning the pages to the end. Great drama, good suspense with culinary recipes to enjoy, with nice non-stop action and intrigue.

The Faithful Spy

 In Alex Berenson's espionage thriller, The Faithful Spy, the first installment of the John Wells series, he had taken him to current headlines during 9/11 and after 9/11. For John Wells, he was a spy undercover who worked with al Qaeda for over a decade to bring the end of terrorism. Though he had abandoned his family and mourned the loss of his parents, the CIA wants him caught or to bring him in, especially with Agent Jen Exley, someone he knew from the past, someone he had a growing attraction with. With a race against time to stop another terrorism attack from hitting our country, it was up to them to stop them and a bio-terrorism attack from imploding with mass casualties, before it was too late.

This was a fantastic thriller debut. I instantly cared about John Wells and Jen Exley on how the war against terrorism had impacted in their lives, then and now. I didn't like the terrorism parts, but loved how John embedded himself to secretly work with the CIA for over a decade, before he decided to come back home. I loved the locations in California, Canada, New York, and even in Afghanistan, too.  This really took you behind the scenes and center stage for everyone who worked to stop the war and to put an end to terrorism in our country. Great drama, excellent non-stop action, lots of intrigue and mystery along the way.

Say Goodbye

In Lisa Gardner's Say Goodbye, the 6th installment in the Quincy and Rainie thriller series, she enthralled us and chilled us with this creepy and twisted thriller. For Agent Kimberly Quincy McCormack, she was five months pregnant with her first child with Mac, when there was an evil monster out there, preying on prostitutes and killing them. It all started with the disappearance and phone call from Ginny Jones. That's when she worked with GBI Agent Sal Martignetti on this most disturbing case, when Ginny was their informant and had preyed on them by helping Dinchara, a serial killer who looked like a spider himself. His backstory was creeper than before, when he was one of the missing and preyed upon. As they've gotten closer to identifying him, there was a link between then and now for one of their own, which a shocking and grim ending for sure.

This thriller most certainly gave me the creeps and a lot of chills. I would recommend it, if you have or haven't read her work before, especially reading the series in order, if not as stand-alone. I did care for Kimberly and Mac, even for Sal. I didn't like Ginny, Dinchara, or his boy minions as well. I had a liking for Rita, too. I loved the vast scenic locations in the Georgia area from the rural woods to Atlanta itself. This would give you chills, goosebumps, and a lot more in the end. Great drama with excellent suspense, intrigue, mystery and lots of non-stop action.
