To Hell in a Handbasket

In Beth Groundwater's To Hell in a Handbasket, the 2nd installment in the Claire Hanover Gift Basket Designer series, she told us how a family vacation turned up to be a nightmare. It all started with Claire and her family skiing down the slopes, when one accident turned into a homicide. That left Claire to do some sleuthing on why Judy's friend and boyfriend's sister was killed. She dug into some hard truths about the mafia and the family's dealings in the past, when her boyfriend's father committed suicide. It was up to Claire to protect Judy, when she fell in love with her boyfriend and got engaged in the end, when the bad guys were behind bars.

This was another great cozy from Beth Groundwater. I love the skiing theme for this mystery series, when the central location of Colorado was ideal for the scenic settings. I cared about Claire and her family, and was happy that Judy found her true love in Nick. I loved all of the skiing scenes, since it had a lot of drama, excitement, enchantment, intrigue and suspense into one great cozy mystery. This would take you on a snow-filled ride from start to finish.

If you looking to cool down this summer, check this book out today!
