In Allison Brennan's Silenced, the 4th installment in the Lucy Kincaid romantic suspense series, this storyline was so intense and twisted from start to finish. It all started for Lucy as a analyst for the FBI, when she came to the crime scene of the dead body of Wendy James, the alleged mistress of a well-known politician. But as they work the case, her supervisor gives Lucy a hard time of her position in the case, while she works with her colleague and friend Noah Armstrong. For Ivy Harris, aka Hannah Edmunds, she had escaped the clutches from her evil father and took her younger sister Sara with her to Washington D.C. Someone's out there looking out for her and wants her dead. Then when another dead body turns up with another grisly message on the corpse, Lucy and the FBI believes it might be connected in one way or another. While she helps the DC Police, they try to connect the dots on who's hunting down these young prostitutes. And at the next crime scene, the people closest to Ivy were also killed in the line of fire. That's when Sean Rogan, Lucy's boyfriend and Noah probe the case to find people connected to them and also to Lucy with Senator Paxton, someone from Lucy's past. When they made a remote connection from Wendy to Ivy to put the pieces together, things get heated when they tried to help Ivy in a car crash. Later on, things turn dicey into an intense standoff with an explosive ending of a life-and-death situation you would never believe.
This was another gripping and intense romantic suspense in the Lucy Kincaid series. I did care for Lucy and how she wanted to fit into the field work as an analyst for the FBI. I also cared for Ivy/Hannah, who wanted to escape from a monster who would control and mastermind his own children. An older sister who would do the same thing as she did to protect her younger sister or brother. I do see a potential love triangle between Lucy, Sean, and Noah, though I think Sean would be a better fit for Lucy for right. I did like the great scenic settings and lush locations for the Washington D.C. area for the storyline that put us right there, front and center. This would take you a real-fast emotional roller coaster ride for you to buckle your seat belt and hang on tight with non-stop action, some sparks of romance, plenty of intense drama and lots of intrigue.
What would you do to prevent yourself from being silenced today?

Special Review: Speak No Evil from July 2008
In Allison Brennan's Speak No Evil, the first installment in the No Evil romantic suspense trilogy, she sent us thrilling chills in this romantic suspense trilogy debut. Silence can be deadly. It all started with the vile murder of Angie Vance with her mouth glued shut, an obscenity scrawled on her skin and suffocation by garbage bag. That brought Police Detective Catrina Kincaid over to the scene, when she met Sheriff Nick Thomas by investigating his brother, Angie's ex-boyfriend. With Nick scarred from a recent confrontation of a serial killer, he would do anything to prove his brother's innocence, while learning about his dark side, when a friend of the victim suffered from the same fate. Now it was up to the both of them to trap a psychopath before another unlucky woman becomes his next victim.
This was a mind-blowing romantic suspense that would send chills up and down your spine. I cared about Catrina and Nick, when they dealt with a dark evil force that threw them together and put them at ends. I loved the California location for the scenic depicted settings, when sparks flew between Catrina and Nick. This would hook you on the first page and compel you to keep reading straight to the end. Great suspense with lots of non-stop action, intrigue, mystery and romance.
Will you speak of no evil today? Give it a try tonight!

Stalked
In Allison Brennan's Stalked, the fifth installment of the Lucy Kincaid series, we were introduced to the world of FBI training in Quantico. It all started with a reporter's murder in New York City, a connection to an old case, that took us back and forth to both places. When Lucy Kincaid's name popped up to connection to the murder, she'd been reeled in to help with the case. Meanwhile, while she was still undergoing vigorous training as a FBI trainee, someone made her nervous and had it in for her, while someone targeted the FBI and infiltrated the FBI for all the wrong reasons. Things do get serious, when one FBI agent died and another one ended up injured. We really do get inside the head of Lucy, when she dealt with this crisis, while we flashback to Peter McMahon's life being stalked by two people, living on the run, and until present day. There was red hot chemistry between FBI Suzanne Madeaux and Joe De Lucca, and a great romance between Lucy and Sean Rogan. What a rush!
This was another intense romantic suspense from Allison Brennan. I cared about Lucy and her FBI training in Quantico. I also liked the blooming romance between her and Sean Rogan, too. I loved the FBI Academy in Quantico and California dual locations for this novel with scenic settings. This made me hold a deep breath and let out a huge sigh. Great drama, intense suspense and lots of romance, non-stop action and mystery along the way to the end.

Fear No Evil
In Allison Brennan's Fear No Evil, the last installment of the No Evil trilogy, this story focused on Dillon Kincaid and Lucy Kincaid, his youngest sister. When she had supposed to be graduating from high school, she wasmissing. Later, she ended up on tape, when she met someone online, and then had gotten raped, when there was a deadline to save her before she died by a brutal death. That's when Dillon met Kate Donovan, a rogue FBI agent who was after a man named Trask for the past couple of years, and hoped to bring him down along with his online porn enterprise. But he had a bone to pick and people to exploit online. Plus Dillon was reunited with her long-lost estranged brother, Jack Kincaid. Head to head, they saved Lucy and brought down Task, while Kate fell in love with Dillon and had to pay the price for hiding out in Mexico for a few years. A red hot ending to the trilogy.
This was a phenomenal ending to the No Evil trilogy with a shocking ending. I cared about the Kincaid family, especially Dillon, Lucy and Jack. I loved how Dillon and Kate came together to become the next powerhouse couple in this romantic suspense. I loved the California locations in this novel and the scenic settings to make it pop with vivid colors. This would take you on an emotional roller coaster ride. Great drama and non-stop action with tons of heated romance, suspense and intrigue along the way.

See No Evil
In Allison Brennan's See No Evil, the second book in the No Evil trilogy series, you'll better be prepared to be chilled in this romantic suspense. Julia Chandler's niece was accused of murder. She needed Connor Kincaid to help find out who framed Emily, while they did have a past--she ruined his career, five years ago. They found out what was really going behind this murder and more, past and present, when they linked the connection of Wishlist, an egroup for anger management, when their fantasies come alive. The closer they do get to the truth, they fell in love and become more in danger. In the end, they hold on and fight for life and justice.

I didn't like the people be hind the Wishlist e-group one bit. I loved the California locations for this magnificent romantic series trilogy. This would make you grimace and groan and root for Julia and Connor all the way. Great drama, excellent suspense, tons of heated romance, and lots of non-stop action to keep you at the edge of your seat.

Killling Fear
In Allison Brennan's Killing Fear, the first book in the Prison Break romantic suspense trilogy series, Theodore Glenn was a ruthless killer and had been sent to prison after killing four prostitutes and also had a sick obsession with Robin McKenna. When he escaped from prison, he went after the people who betrayed him, including Robin, when he believed he was innocent on the fourth murder. It was now up to Detective Will Hooper and Robin to find out the truth, when he kept on killing more people on the run, and also had brought fear into Robin's life. Plus there's twists and turns that would keep you at the edge of your seat right to the end.
This was a mind-blowing romantic suspense in this new trilogy. I cared about Will and Robin as a couple and as individuals. I didn't like Theodore Glenn so much, since he gave me the creeps. I loved the prison theme and the central California location for the settings, inside and outside of the prison cell. This would make you want to bite your nails and take a deep breath in between. Great drama, excellent suspense, lots of intrigue and heated romance with tons of mystery in store.
Will you be experiencing any kind of killing fear tonight? If so, hold onto your seat with a copy today!
