Paradox

In Catherine Coulter's Paradox, the twenty-second installment in the FBI thriller series, this chilling tale has some many twisted  surprises that you would never see coming. It all started when someone tried to invade the Savich household and kidnap Lacey and Dillon Savich's son Sean. Back in Maine, Chief Ty Christie has witnessed a murder and discovered a pile of bones in the bottom of Lake Massey. While Dillon and Lacey go to a book festival, they remained on high alert for any new possible attempts. And before they could get a good look on him, he got away. He was someone from one of their past cases, someone who had murder and revenge on his mind. And when they found FBI Agent Sala Porto in the old Gatewood home in the closet, they learned something chilling when he heard voices. And during the funeral for Octavia Ryan, their past reared their ugly head when it exploded.  When Leigh Ann "Gunny" Saks saw the news report about the "Star of David" belt buckle being found in the pile of bones on TV, someone struck her from behind, almost killing her. That leaves Ty and FBI Agent Sala wonder who would do such a thing and the mystery behind the belt buckle, while Sherlock and Sean put Sean into hiding and go after Victor Nesser, who's not all completely alone and his total whole self. While they worked both cases together, they connect the dots and tie up loose ends on who did what and why with a shocking ending that would blow you away.

This was an exciting and fascinating installment in this popular best-selling thriller series. I did care for Savich and Sherlock, who worked together as a couple and as two FBI agents, on this most disturbing and complicated case. I did feel a bad sad for Gunny, though she had a life-changing brain surgery that transformed her life in a whole new way. I did like Ty Christie who was a tough-as-nail police chief in small town Maine. I loved the vast locations from Virginia/Washington D.C. and Maine, which had mesmerizing scenic locations and visual settings from Lake Massey and beyond. This would send you on a roller-coaster ride with non-stop action, suspense, drama, and plenty of fast-paced twists on every page.

The End Game

In Catherine Coulter's and JT Ellison's The End Game, the third installment in the A Brit in the FBI thriller series, this thriller had all the elements of a dark and compelling, gritty thriller. For FBI Agent Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine, it all started with an explosion of an oil refinery and lead them to the trail of an eco-terrorist group, the Celebrants of Earth, who were against the Middle Eastern countries who support terrorism and gives us oil for gasoline. From there, it gets complicated, when there was a terrorist in the midst and a mess, when some of their agents were killed in the explosion. It was up to them to follow the electronic paper trail to a cyber-attack and blackout, with threats that went up to the White House. While Michaela and Nicholas team up with Savich and Sherlock, they knew they had chemistry together. They were many twists and turns in the end that they didn't see coming, right to the end.

This was a fantastic and mind-blowing thriller in the series, though I haven't read the other two books in the series. I loved the chemistry Mike and Nick had as partners and as lovers. I loved the eco-terrorism plot element with a hint of political thriller thrown inside with current events. I loved the vast array of USA locations, especially along the East Coast. This would leave you hanging at the edge of your seat from start to finish with excellent drama, suspense, intrigue and non-stop action on every page.

Knock Out

In the 13th installment of the FBI thriller series by Catherine Coulter, it was really a Knock Out of a story--in two ways than one. It all started, when there was a bank robbery in action and the ensuing aftermath. Two young robbers were out for blood, seeking revenge, and wanted Dillon Savich dead. They wrecked havoc everywhere they went, while they were on the run and hiding out. Meanwhile, young Autumn Backman needed Dillon's help with a sticky family situation down South. With her peculiar psychic ability, she connected to him via her telepathy. Back and forth, they helped Sheriff Ethan Merriweather with Autumn's uncles who wanted her for their own sick cult. They gave everyone a knockout of their own with their psychic power and stymie them to do whatever they want by looking into their eyes. He fought the Backman family with a dose of his own medicine of his own with Lacey Sherlock, before their lives were on the line. Lots of action, drama, high-intense suspense throughout this thriller to give you a knockout punch of your own. TKO!

This was a fascinating storyline with a helluva angle for a plotline. I loved how Lacey and Dillon came to the aid of poor Autumn, who was caught up in a big mess.  I loved the California angle, when it went down to Alabama and other parts of the deep south. I did feel bad for Autumn and her mom. I didn't like her family one bit. But I loved the connection between Ethan and Autumn's mom. The cult angle was a shocking twist or two on how they manipulated people at their own wicked expense. Great drama, good suspenseful action, and a whopper for a thriller.

Backfire

If you love a thriller series, you'll love the 16th installment in Catherine Coulter's FBI series, featuring Savich and Sherlock. In this installment, things got intense for the couple. It started with a warning in the note. When Judge Ramsey got shot down, we were thrown into a world of the U.S. Marshals. We were introduced to Harry Christoff and Eve Barbieri, two new characters into the mix. They worked together to figure out who'd targeted them, when one could've been a warning to Savich himself. We saw how close the Saviches were together, Molly Hunt was to her family, and discovered Eve's and Harry's world. Plus we also got inside the criminal world of the killer. When things got bad, it'd gotten worse. And there were many shocking twists and turns we didn't see coming with an explosive ending... and a cute epilogue in Backfire.

This thriller had a lot going on and then some. I love the pairing of Sherlock and Savich. We get to see them in action at work and at home. We get to see them as a close knit family, taking care of their son. Dillon and Lacey worked well together to save this disturbing murder. I loved the California location with the link to the US Marshals. I loved the pairing of Eve and Harry, too. I Hoped to see them featured in future novels.  This thriller would let you hold your breath and release it with every sigh.  Action-packed scenes that were riveting and compelling as well in this awesome thriller.

Hemlock Bay

If you love great suspense novels, Hemlock Bay is the one for you, the 6th installment of Catherine Coulter's FBI series. This was set in a fictional town in California called Hemlock Bay, a small hamlet of a town, when a lot of things were going on. For starters, for Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock, they dealt with a cult following and a psychological serial killer with a twisted mind. For Dillon's sister Lily, someone tried to kill her and made her crazy, when it all came down to her grandmother's paintings and the mastermind behind it, which stemmed from her in-laws and a despicable husband. In the end, both cases collided with a shocking resolution. A great thrill ride to read!

This was an interesting thriller. I loved the backdrop of Hemlock Bay for the novel. Who would ever thought about the evil behind it? I did love Dillon and Lacey, when this came down on them. I also felt bad for Lily as well. I liked the paintings link and the cult behind it. This had a lot of twists and turns for a FBI thriller that was packed with suspense and intrigue as well. This would make you speechless and drop your jaw as well.
