Entombed

In Linda Fairstein's Entombed, the 7th installment in the Alexandra Cooper legal thriller series, she told us a chilling thriller that raised a notch up in the chill factor. For Alexandra Cooper, she had a lot on her hands. First she tackled the return of a serial rapist who returned after a hiatus. Meanwhile, she investigated the murders of Emily Upshaw and the shocking entombment of a corpse, 20 years ago. While she worked on both cases, her friend Michael Chapman learned about the devastating loss on his girlfriend from a freak ski accident. With a lot of twists and turns, it all odds up to the Raven Society and the connection to Edgar Allen Poe and who was behind what happened to everyone who tried to stop them in the end.

This was a shocking and twist cold legal thriller. I cared about Alex and Mike Chapman a lot. I didn't like the people involved with the Raven Society or the Maswanas for sure. They gave me the cold creeps. I loved the central New York City locations for the settings of this cold wintry legal thriller. I do liked the Edgar Allen Poe connection to the entombed body of the corpse and throughout the interwoven storyline. This would make you feel chilled to your core with tons of action, drama, suspense and intrigue.

Silent Mercy

In Linda Fairstein's Silent Mercy, the 13th installment of the Alexandra Cooper series, Linda Fairstein took us on a wild thrill ride on her latest case yet. For Alex Cooper, she was called to go to the Harlem Baptist Church to find a decapitated body there. And then there was another one like it in Little Italy. Besides the Star of David necklace imprinted in their flesh, that's when they discovered a serial hate crime motive behind it and nothing religious to link the two. It was up for Alex and her team to stop the killer, before there was another woman who was bound to die, as they dove through the serpentine path in the city's religious history to find a connection between the past and present. When it all added up, it might lead them to serious danger.

We were so deeply involved into this one, when it dealt with religious beliefs. We rooted for Alex to find out a connection between old and new murders from this serial killer, which took us all over to New York. There were plenty of surprises in this one, that would leave you breathless on every twist and turn she had in store for you, the fellow reader. I love Alex's closeness to Chapman and Mercer and her fellow colleagues, even a bitter rival with Pat McKinney, and how intact she was to her French chef. From the court room to the scene of the crime, this one was packed with drama, action, suspense and a lot of mystery in one package.

Will you be fallen to a silent mercy? If so, check it out now!

Bad Blood

In Linda Fairstein's Bad Blood, the 9th installment in the Alex Cooper legal thriller series, she sent us another bone-chilling novel. Alex Cooper was embroiled into a heated court case against Brendan Quillian, who was accused of killing or hiring someone to kill his wife. When things couldn't get much worse, his witness had dropped a shocking bombshell. But what really rocked her world was an explosive from one of the water tunnels, and who had died. As they investigated the source of the explosion, they discovered some shocking old family history of the bad blood between two rival families, and a family secret  that was taken to the grave. With a hint of a blooming romance with a French chef, things took a twisty turn, when Quillian escaped from a courthouse brawl, when they reached the closer to the truth, the source of the bad blood, before their lives were in danger. What a great read!

This one was another amazing legal thriller in the series. I cared about Alex and how she worked with Mercer and Mike Chapman. Brendan Quillian was a crazy wacko in my opinion. I liked the New York City courtroom and the tunnels too for the vast locations and settings in New York state. This would hook you with a grabbing opening and pull you in for a wild ride. Once hooked, you can't stop reading every book in the series.  This would lure you in with drama,  suspense, non-stop action and intrigue from top to bottom.

Don't have any bad blood, after you read this book. Check it out now!
