In Meg Gardiner's UNSUB, the first installment in the UNSUB thriller series, this will give you chills and take your breath away too. Twenty years ago, a serial killer called the Prophet wrecked havoc in San Francisco and almost destroyed her father's life. Now as a Narcotics cop, Caitlin Hendrix fast-tracked to being a detective on this case. For Caitlin, she needed her father's help since he was first on the scene many years ago. But as the Prophet searched for the targets, he had his eyes set to wrecking havoc with her own life. It was her job to solve the puzzles of the past and connect to the present to break the code: Dante's Inferno. Each grisly crime scene had been interpreted by the Prophet's reenactment of it. The closer she gets to the trouble, the more in peril it puts her in the line of fire and discover who he is and how was he one step ahead of time all the time. In a race against time before the bombs goes off, Caitlin has to decide who to save and to kill in an explosive ending with a spine-tingling twist in the end.
This was a riveting psychological thriller that would blow you away from start to finish. I instantly cared for Caitlin and for her father Mack, on how this serial killer had ruined their lives from the inside-out. But I loved how Caitlin cared for her father and how she picked up the pieces to solve this puzzle with one mind-blowing clue to another. I also cared for Mack, who dealt with the remnants of mercury poisoning, and how he did what he could to protect his family. I also liked Sean and Sadie, who became important people in her life. This would give you whiplash and take your breath away with non-stop action, drama, suspense, and plenty of intrigue to make you hold on tight for a wild ride.
Will you help Caitlin identify the UNSUB tonight?

Ransom River
In Meg Gardiner's Ransom River, she shocked us and sent us reeling in this standalone thriller. For Rory Mackenzie, she was the 7th juror in a criminal case. But things didn't go as planned, when there was chaos in the courtroom as two gunmen took control. After the ordeal was over, she didn't get a warm welcome home from her family. Nothing was what it seemed to be. With help from former cop and flame, and childhood friend, Seth Colder, they investigate the story behind the heist and what she was singled out. The closer she had gotten to the truth, she received threats from people, even from her own cousins, which stemmed to her family history of past secrets from a cold case of a bank robbery. With more shocking secrets came to light, Seth and Rory grew closer together and fought against evil to the end.
This was a powerful and shocking standalone thriller. I cared about Rory and her parents, though I didn't like her cousins one bit, except for her Aunt Amber. I did like Rory's reunion with Seth. We could see the smoldering chemistry between them. This would send you flying through in the pages and shake your head in disbelief with every twist and turn. I did like the fictional town of Ransom River in California with its own intricate scenery and locations. Great non-stop action, suspense, drama and intrigue to the end.

The Dirty Secrets Club
In Meg Gardiner's The Dirty Secrets Club, the first installment in the Jo Beckett thriller series in this stellar thriller debut, you want to sink your teeth into this one that would leave you chilled and breathless. Jo Beckett was a shrink for the dead. She examined why the people died and how they died. And when she had gotten entangled into this mess of discovering about the roots of the Dirty Secrets Club, it placed her right in the center of danger. It drudged up the past of her recent loss. She wasn't an ordinary woman with mystical cultural roots. And there was a lot of surprises to give you an oh wow factor for this thriller. Danger, darkness, mayhem and plenty of drama to keep you guessing and right at the edge of your seat.
This one will make you a big fan of all of her thrillers yet to date. I cared for Jo on this wild adventure, when she had gotten caught up into a mess of sorts. She was unique and personable with a mixed heritage to make her more than ordinary. I became concerned on how she dealt with her loss, even when it might come into light of being exposed. I loved the California locations and settings for this wild thriller. This would take you to a fanciful journey from past to present with great drama, non-stop action, intrigue and suspense, straight to the end.
