Accidentally Famous

In this blog post,  I reviewed Marissa Clarke’s Accidentally Famous, the second installment in the Hideaway Harbor romance series. This romcom novel is so exquisite with the tropes of fake dating and opposites attract to make this enchanted love story work. For Cassidy James, she’s been pining after her childhood crush, Tristan McGuffey, for years, when he hasn't really noticed her in her small town of Blink, Maine. She’s been doing home renovation videos on Youtube by fixing up on old homes. For Jack Winson, he’s a famous Hollywood action star. But when his assistant accidentally tagged her Insta posts, she traveled to her small town to fix the situation. And their stars are crossed and aligned, when they meet together, dealing with the press, and helping me increase her popularity online, they’d conquered any obstacles including his manager to make this romance work into great extremes.

This fascinating romcom would have you rooting and applauding Jack and Chelsea in every corner. I fell in love with them as an individual and a couple, who find their person in each other. They both helped each other from start to finish to find what they were missing and looking for together. I loved the small town feel in Blink, and the captivating scenery in Los Angeles for the settings.. The theme of the story is that love would sneak up on you when you’ll least expect it.

If you love enchanted romcoms with plenty of nail-biting romantic drama, and lots of sparking tension, you’ll love Accidentally Famous. This novel is recommended for fans who love Hallmark movies, Abby Jimenez, Talia Hibbert, and Ali Hazelwood.

Anything for You

In this blog post, I reviewed Kristin Higgins’s Anything for You, the fifth installment in the Blue Heron contemporary romance series. This romance is about star-crossed lovers with the opposites attract trope nestled inside. For the past decade, Connor O’Rourke have been in love with Jessica Dunn since 6th grade, even if she lived on the opposite side of the tracks. He would do anything to win her love, but it wasn’t easy as it seemed, since she needed to take care of her special needs younger brother, who hated Connor ever since the dog mauling incident years ago. She worked two jobs, and dealt with her absentee father who was always on a bender. But every time he proposed to her, she said no.  While she fell hard for him, Connor made sure they kept their relationship a secret, until he found a way to befriend him to earn his trust, to win her heart. But when she thought she couldn’t trust him, she learned the hard way that he always took care of her, and would do anything for her, until she professed her love for him.

This amazing heartfelt romance makes your heart weep and sigh for relief. I instantly cared for Jessica and Connor, who had been through a lot together. They both wanted to reach for the stars to work at their dream jobs in New York City. I adored the location in New York for the restaurant and the vineyard. Perfect settings.  The dual themes of this story are opposites attract, and forgiveness goes a long way.

If you like emotional heartfelt contemporary romance novels  with plenty of heated romance and drama, and lots of sparks of loveswept moments, Anything for You hits all the right notes.. This is recommended for fans who love Jill Shalvis, Kristen Hannah, Hallmark romcoms, and classic romance stories.

I'm Only Wicked With You

In  this blog post, I reviewed Julie Ann Long’s I’m Only Wicked With You, the first installment in the Palace of Rogues historical romance series. This historical romance novel is deeply enriched with plenty of drama and suspense to keep you on your tenterhooks. Lady Lillias Vaughan wasn’t an ordinary daughter of an earl in London. She’s a bit wild and have done things in an extraordinary way like riding down the rails or mouthing off expletives for example. She might be the talk of the ton, when a duke might calling on her to court her. For American Hugh Cassidy, this Irish bloke was on a mission to find Amelia Woodley across the globe and landed in London to look for her. But then he had met his match with Lady Lillas Vaughan, his complete opposite from her, but understood where she came from. When they’ve gotten to know each other better, heads had turned when they were almost caught in the act. To do the right thing by her, he proposed to her in a fake engagement. But at the time of their announcement, a formidable rival wanted Lillias’ attentions which could be no match set for Hugh, and later break her heart. To find their true happiness, they would proclaim their love for each other and find how they were well-matched from the start.

This was a compelling and riveting historical romance novel. I loved how the opposites attract trope had worked its magic between these two love birds by the end of their love story. I instantly cared about Lillias and how she wanted to do things her way, even if she might have to break some rules in her wild temperament to show how different she truly was from each other. I’ve found Hugh was unique in his character on how he searched for Amelia and found his true love with Lillias on the same trip. The dual locations in central London and the Palace of the Thames and the Heatherfield estates had painted the scenic settings real clearly and vividly in my mind. The theme of the story is we might all different from each other, but we would find our true love where we might least expect it.

This historical romance novel was daring, riveting, and couldn’t put it down. I couldn’t find anything to nitpick on from start to finish since it was real good. I rated this book, four out of five stars for no specific reason. If you love historical romances, with non-stop romantic action, plenty of sparks of intrigue and a heap of heart-stopping dramatic moments, check out this title today.  This book is recommended for those who love historical romances and Bridgerton on Netflix.
