Running Into Love

In this blog post, I reviewed Aurora Reynolds’s Running into Love, the first installment in the Fluke My Life romance series. This adult contemporary romance is beautifully written and have you laughing in stitches. It all started when Fawn Reed ran into  NYPD Officer Levi Fremont on a morning jog. Not by chance or circumstance, he moved next door as her neighbor in her apartment. From there, they’ve literally run into each other and crossed each other’s paths, while they both balanced a work/home balance with their blossoming relationship. Levi never thought that he would find love right next door to him while he worked on a brutal murder case that might be connected to one of her students at the local elementary school. He would do anything to find the culprit while keeping Fawn and everyone he loved safe from danger and harm. But when both of their crazy families arrived at Levi’s apartment during their holidays, it could be nothing but chaotic trouble and hilarious moments for them. When things turned up the heat between them when Levi asked her to move in with him, it happened way too fast for Fawn. Before she could give him an exact answer, she received a phone call that Levi was shot and in the hospital. Within a moment of clarity, she comes to his head as they tell each other they love each other before they take the next step in the right direction with a happily ever after ending that was fitting for the book.

This was a beautifully written loveswept story about finding love when you least expect it right next door. There were so many hilarious moments that made this romcom dynamite with a capital D. I cared for both Fawn who loved her students she taught at the high school and how she bonded well with her sisters who were a hoot and then some. I also adored Levi who was hot and dreamy when he called her sweet terms of endearment like” babe” and “baby”. What a charmer when he’s easy on the eyes. I also loved how both their mothers knew each other from a long time ago. The location of New York was picture perfect for this adult contemporary romance with the centric scenic setting based at the apartment building The theme of the story is you can find love unexpectedly right before your eyes and take the leap.

I really liked this romcom. It has all the right ingredients and has a dose of comedic moments to keep you smiling and laughing after you reading. It was flawless. This adult romcom is perfect to laugh and chase away the winter blues. I rated this book, four out of five stars for no specific reason. If you love romcoms that leave you laughing in stitches with non-stop action, plenty of romantic and comedic drama, and lots of feel-good moments, Running Into Love is the one for you.
