Where Memories Lie

In Deborah Crombie's Where Memories Lie, the 12th installment in the Kincaid/James series, we were introduced to Gemma's neighbor and friend, Erica Rosenthal. This mystery meshed with historical factual fiction. It started with the missing brioche that turned up at a London auction house. Erika believed it lead to her husband's death, which was assumed a suicide. That's when Erika told Gemma about her past about fleeing the Nazis in the war. It was up to Gemma to investigate the connection between the brioche and David's death in the cold case. When a second present-day murder turned up, she needed Duncan's help to sorting things out and giving Erika justice she deserved.

This was another great Kincaid/James mystery in the series. I did care about Erika and her plight. I also cared about Gemma and Duncan, too, and how they've worked together and grown together as a couple. This would make you speechless and breathless right to the end. I loved the great scenery in England for the London locations for this novel. Great drama, excellent intrigue with non-stop action, and plenty of suspense and mystery from start to finish.

The Coffin Dancer

In Jeffrey Deaver's The Coffin Dancer, the 2nd installment in the Lincoln Rhyme thriller series, Rhyme and Sachs return in another great thriller. It all started with a new serial killer that was on the loose in NYC, who was hired by someone to take out three people, which began with a bomb on the airplane.  Rhyme joined Amelian Sachs, his associate on the field, to track down this sneaky sniper and watch his every move. They were on the hunt for the Coffin Dancer, an ingenious killer who changed his appearance faster than he added to the trail of his victims. With only one clue on a tattoo of a grim reaper waltzing with a woman in front of a casket. Now it was up to Rhyme to use his intuition and wits to track his down, before time ran out for the three federal witnesses for them with only forty-eight hours left.

This thriller had another gripping one with chills and thrills. I continued to care for Rhyme and Sachs, when we get to know them better, and a possible romance grew between them. I loved the NYC locations and settings to make the scenery pop out right in front of your eyes. This would hook you on the first page and take you for a wild ride to the end. Great drama, plenty of non-stop action, intrigue and suspense with a shocking twist that happened towards the end.

Will you help stop the Coffin Dancer? If so, join forces today!

Atlantis Unleashed

Atlantis Unleashed by Alyssa Day is a fantastic new paranormal series that you're going to love. Dr. Keely McDermott is an archaeologist from Ohio, who has a strange connection to a wooden fish carving, and has a strange gift. Justice is from Atlantis, who's also part Nemeid, who've been sent to the Void for years, and have a splintered mind of two souls. He and his brothers fight vampires who want to rule the world, while he learns the truth on his birth. When Keely is sent to Atlantis, she's on a quest to find another stone to unleash Atlantis. Keely and Justice are attracted to each other, who fight each other and butt heads, while they're on a mission to heal his mind, fall in love, and realize their destiny, while they continue to fight more battles with the vampires and restore Atlantis to earth. A great new serious with an imaginary world and plenty of passion to go around. This is the 5th book in the series I believe. Can't wait to read more next year.

Endless Love

Although I haven't seen the movie version, The Notebook is a beautiful love story, both contemporary and historical, about Allie Nelson and Noah Calhoun. They met one summer and split up, and years later, they're reunited, fall back in love, with some obstacles together, to get their happy ending. But years later, their true love stands beyond priceless time with Alzheimer's and with cancer and arthritis, when they know it's time to say goodbye. This is a nice romance for a quick read. Lovely.

Game Over

In Fern Michaels's Game Over, the 17th book in the Sisterhood Vigilante series,  the Sisters were back with kept promises of a new future. The Sisterhood Vigilantes waited to get their pardons signed, sealed and delivered. But there was a dilemma, a setup and some snafus along the way, especially for their own Lizzie Fox, who was heading for a coveted seat in the White House. They would do their best to protect one of their own.  In the end, they played their part for justice at the White House to obtain their freedom. Everyone did get a happy ending from surprising engagements to expecting babies for all the players involved in this series.

This was another great book by Fern Michaels. I continued to care about the Sisters and Lizzie, especially when Lizzie's future was heading on the way up. I loved the Washington D.C. area for the backdrop of this series with spectacular scenic settings. This would make you be shocked and be awed at the same time. Great drama, good action and lots of tension and intrigue along the way.

Why don't you check out Game Over today!

Out of the Shadows

In Kay Hooper's Out of the Shadows,  the third installment in the Bishop/BCU trilogy series is the third book in the BCU trilogy, this storyline continued to deal with the evil shadows. In this one, Sheriff Miranda Knight dealt with a serial killer in her small town. Someone in her jurisdiction preyed on teenagers and killed them. When it did get complicated to solve, she recruited her former lover, Agent Noah Bishop, from the BCU and his team. Together, they figured out who was doing this and why by profiling the killer as they discussed their own feelings from the past. There was also a bad spirit out there  who wsa going after her sister Bonnie. Together, they bonded and fell in love to fight all odds. This has a great paranormal twist to it, too.

This was another terrific paranormal thriller. I continued to care for Miranda and for Noah as well. I loved the paranormal shadow storyline as well that continued in this trilogy and also in the series as well. I love the small town feel for the location and the storyline as well, too, for the settings. It made it even more real and surreal. I do get chills and goosebumps from start to finish. Great drama, excellent non-stop action and suspense to keep you hooked on reading more.

Will you come out of the shadows for a great thriller? If so, give this a go today!

This Duchess of Mine

In Eloisa James's This Duchess of Mine, the 5th book in the Desperate Duchess Series, this historical romance dealt with Elijah and Jemma, who met at an arranged marriage by their parents, and have been separated for nine years. That's when she learned a shocking discovery and bolted from the altar.  She went abroad and created a scandal, if anyone believed those lies, Jemma swore she'll win Elijah back in order to have a heir, and wooed him to fall in love with her. When she learned about his heart ailment, she'll do anything to have him love her, no matter what the price. Sooner than later, the duke fell in love with his own wife.

I loved the theme that it dealt with a match of chess.  I thought it was a clever maneuver and a quirky setup. The backstory between Jemma and Elijah of how they spent their nine years apart and led their separate ways. This showed what people would do for love and to even the score. Between Jemma's wittiness and Elijah's heart condition, this would grip you into suspense and make you ooh and ahh at every page turn. It's a priceless love story.

Check out this enchanted historical romance today!
