In Jeffrey Deaver's The Coffin Dancer, the 2nd installment in the Lincoln Rhyme thriller series, Rhyme and Sachs return in another great thriller. It all started with a new serial killer that was on the loose in NYC, who was hired by someone to take out three people, which began with a bomb on the airplane. Rhyme joined Amelian Sachs, his associate on the field, to track down this sneaky sniper and watch his every move. They were on the hunt for the Coffin Dancer, an ingenious killer who changed his appearance faster than he added to the trail of his victims. With only one clue on a tattoo of a grim reaper waltzing with a woman in front of a casket. Now it was up to Rhyme to use his intuition and wits to track his down, before time ran out for the three federal witnesses for them with only forty-eight hours left.
This thriller had another gripping one with chills and thrills. I continued to care for Rhyme and Sachs, when we get to know them better, and a possible romance grew between them. I loved the NYC locations and settings to make the scenery pop out right in front of your eyes. This would hook you on the first page and take you for a wild ride to the end. Great drama, plenty of non-stop action, intrigue and suspense with a shocking twist that happened towards the end.
Will you help stop the Coffin Dancer? If so, join forces today!

I'm a huge Deaver fan, Kristen. I got hooked with The Bone Collector. Loved the movie with Denzel Washington and Anjelina Jolie!
ReplyDeleteThe Coffin Dancer is a great follow up. :-)
Happy reading and writing!
