Silver Linings

In Debbie Macomber's Silver Linings, the 4th installment in the Cedar Cove Rose Harbor contemporary romance series, this compelling and beautifully written contemporary romance will move you to tears. For Jo Marie Rose, the innkeeper of Rose Harbor Inn in Cedar Cove, she's been a young widow and mourned the loss of her husband Paul. When she purchased the inn and hired Mark Taylor, her handyman to build the gazebo, they had a working relationship and friendship. Within time, before the project was done, Mark put his house on sale and left without saying goodbye to Jo Marie. He must be hiding something from her as Jo Marie begins to experience life and seeing her friends again. For Kellie "Coco" Crenshaw and Katie Gilroy, two best friends who returned to Cedar Cove to seek out the boys who hurt them the most.  Coco wanted to tell Ryan how he felt about how he treated her in the past, and Kellie wanted to explain why she broke off her relationship with James Harper. All three women were seeking answers to those questions and discover that new love could blossom for them to give them a second chance behind a cloud's silver lining with a happy ending.

This was a beautiful contemporary romance that tugs the heart and deals with second chances to find and rediscover love. I instantly cared for Jo Marie on how she handled Mark's aloofness and why he had to leave her for his own reasons. I loved how she cared for her clients and how she managed to break out from the shell from grieving her husband's love and to seek out friends and fun. I cared for both Katie and Coco, who were both sought out for a mission and accomplished it with a new ray of sunlight to lead their way of finding true happiness in love. I also loved how their lives were intertwined with one another. The Cedar Cove setting was mesmerizing and beautiful and captivating for a small town in Northern Washington. The theme of the story is you can't change the past, but you can pave the way for the future.

If you love heartfelt and emotional-packed contemporary romances with heart-stopping drama, plenty of non-stop action, lots of love and tearjerking moments, Silver Linings is the one for you.

What the Heart Wants

In Audrey Carlan's What the Heart Wants, the first installment in the Wish Contemporary Romance series, this beautiful romance tugs the heart strings and brings tears to your eyes. Ten years ago, Suda Kaye Ross left everything to spread her wings and experience everything her heart desired. Now she returned home to make a fresh start in Pueblo, Colorado, and to reconnect with the people she left behind like her older sister Evie. Though she's been known to be a wanderer with itchy feet, she needed to plant her roots to stay grounded for good. When she has plans to start her own boutique, she faces the council board and meets with her ex-boyfriend, Camden Bryant, who had never forgiven her for leaving him without an explanation. While she received his approval, she had many run-ins with Cam and dealings with his fiancée Brittany. To fight off hard feelings, she places her affections to her contractor Kyson, who also has his eyes set on her. When Suda Kaye and Evie overhear Brittany's conversation, she later informs Cam at a family dinner she wasn't invited to--and her secret's exposed that she used him. With her out of the way, Suda Kaye and Camden get closer to together in a most intimate way and talk about the past and the future up until the grand opening of her boutique. After all these years, this dream came true for her when she wished upon a star to find out the true meaning of home.

This was a beautiful contemporary romance to read and relish. I loved how it featured Native American characters and depicted their culture very well. I did care for Suda Kaye when she finally returned home to reunite with her sister Evie and her long-lost love Camden, who was made for her. I loved how she wanted to establish her own business and take care of the big details to run a small business in town. I've found Camden's family a hoot and Camden a real charmer who really took care of her. I loved the dual locations of Colorado Springs and Pueblo in Colorado and how mesmerizing they were when brought to live. The main theme is to embrace you who are when home is where the heart is.

If you love a heartswept contemporary romance with plenty of non-stop action, heartfelt drama, lots of romance, and plenty of tear-jerking moments, What the Heart Wants is perfect for you!

From the Grave

In David Housewright's From the Grave, the 17th installment in the Mac MacKenzie mystery series, this caper deals with evil spirits and psychic mediums and dealing with the past. It all started when Shelby Dunston attended a psychic reading with psychic Hannah Braeten and her prediction that someone offered money to kill Rushmore "Mac" McKenzie. From when learns about this, PI Rushmore is quite intrigued to be informed about this and dug into the cold cases with his former partner, Bobby Dunston. It led him to the armored robbery heist and the death of Leland Hayes. It sent McKenzie on a wild goose chase to look for clues for the money and searched for answers to those who associated to Leland in the past. When Kayla Janas, a young psychic protegeé and college student, meets McKenzie, she claims the same thing on what Leland had said. McKenzie had no idea on who and what to believe until the end when it was all for show and the biggest discovery of what happened to the missing money and dispelling Leland's evil haunted spirit away for good.

I love the paranormal twist to this compelling mystery with shocking turns on every page. I cared for McKenzie who was caught in the middle of this twisted cold case from his past. I loved how he cared for Nina and how he always turned down her proposals--maybe he would say yes this time. I cared for Kayla who's new to the psychic medium art to see dead people and give people readings from her departed loved ones. I did feel bad for Nina who always waited for McKenzie to accept her proposals, but loved she owned a jazz club to promote new music. I loved the dual locations of the Twin Cities that had compelling scenic settings to took you place, above the grave. The themes of the story are to be careful of your past, or it might come back to haunt you.

If you love mind-boggling mysteries that take you on a thrill ride with plenty of non-stop action, lots of suspense, a hint of the paranormal, and shocking turns to keep you guessing, give From the Grave a read today!

Paradise Cove

In Jenny Holiday's Paradise Cove, the 2nd installment in the Matchmaker Bay contemporary romance series, this sweet tale tells about how two people who weren't looking for love found each other at the right place. For Dr. Nora Walsh, she needed to escape from an abrupt broken relationship with her boyfriend and moved from Toronto to a sleepy little coastal town named Moonflower Bay.  She had set forth a plan to stay there for two years to become the new doctor at the local clinic. Everyone in that small town meddles and plans to match her up with someone. But when she met Jake Ramsey at the local hair salon, a handyman who loved to build and repair things, who wasn't interested in a relationship, and mourned the loss of his newborn son Jude who died a few years ago. But if there wasn't something in the water, when Nora and Jake got together as friends, something continued to build from there into an intimate friends-with-benefits relationship. They were there for each other's sorrows and life's obstacles and were perfectly fit and made for each other. During time, when Nora finds out she's pregnant with Jake's baby, it changed everything when he pushed her away. It was now up to Jake to put the past behind him and set things right to have a future with Nora and their unborn child in a place aptly titled Paradise Cove.

This was a sweet heart-warming romance about finding love when they would least expect it. I did care for Nora on how she handled being a newcomer to the town, building her clinic, and getting Jake to open up to her surprisingly, and her grandmother's illness and death. I had loved how she changed her plans and decided to stay in the perfect place that's fitting for her. I like Jake and felt bad on how he dealt with such heart-breaking grief from the past and how he was there for Nora through thick. I adored the coastal town of Moonflower Bay and Jake's Paradise Cove by the lake. It was idyllic and magical with its newfound traditions like the Anti-Festival. The theme of the story is Fate could change your plans when you'll be looking for someone-or-something when it sneaks up on you.

If you love an amazing heartfelt contemporary romance with non-stop action, plenty of drama, a hint of intrigue and a sparkle of love, Paradise Cove is the right book for you.

Vendetta

In Iris Johansen's Vendetta, the 5th installment in the Catherine Ling thriller series, this newest chapter is fierce and red-hot with tons of dangerous and thrilling adventures. Right after Carl Venable died before her eyes, Jude Brandon promised to find his daughter Rachel and to protect her from danger. Brandon and his team searched for her in the Brazilian rain forest and rescued her before she was targeted. From there, Rachel brings Maria, one of her patients, and her mother, Blanca, along for the ride to safety and out of harm's way. She also learns about her father's death and who killed him. At first, Jude and Rachel had a volatile beginning when they worked together as friends and joined forces to recruit Catherine Ling, one of Venable's former operatives. They needed to bring down Max Huber, a fearless leader of a militia terrorist group, to seek revenge against those who killed his father's a few years ago. This trio had to come up with a witty plan to stop him at his tracks before people would get hurt and lives would be lost in one of his self-destructive ways with a fiery ending that will give you goosebumps right down to the climax.

This was a phenomenal thriller that features Jude Brandon and Catherine Ling. I really cared for Jude who was set out on a mission to protect Rachel, while he fell head over heels in love with her. I cared for Rachel and her wild red hair, who worked to find cures in the desert, dealt with a tumultuous imprisonment in Afghanistan, and lost a lot when she thrived to live. I loved her take-charge attitude and how she never faltered to take down Huber. I also loved Catherine Ling who helped them out and used her wily resources to find pertinent information they needed to survive and wins in this no-holds-barred showdown. I loved the various locations from the Brazilian rain forest to Canada which had mesmerizing scenic settings to catapult you there. The theme of the story is Revenge is best served cold by not letting your guard down.

If you love intense action-packed thrillers with heart-stopping suspense, non-stop drama, plenty of twisted surprising turns and shocking sparks of mystery along the way, Vendetta is the one for you!

The Forever Girl

In Jill Shalvis's The Forever Girl, the 6th installment in the Wildstone Contemporary Romance series, this story is so beautifully well-written and pulls at your heart strings. "Mayhem" Maze Porter had always been known to be wild, impulsive, and blows up things she ruins, including her friendships and relationship. Ever since she was a teenager, she'd been adopted by the Walshes and became friends with Caitlin and her brother Michael until a deadly fire changed things. And on the 3rd anniversary of Michael's death, they had a fight and went their separate ways... until Caitlin managed to get Maze reunited with them for her upcoming wedding. For the past week, while they help Caitlin prepare for the wedding, Maze brings her plus one as her date for the wedding as she deals with her feelings for Walker Scott, her former foster brother and secret husband she accidentally married a few years. Meanwhile Caitlin deals with the wedding prep and trying to bring her three friends together for one special week. With a boatload of fun and laughter, Maze and her friends talk about past lies and secrets, Maze begins to open up about her feelings for Walker and deals with her past flaws to know the true meaning of friendship, family and love.

This contemporary romance most definitely warms the heart and your soul. I really enjoyed it and loved it--and I think you will too. I cared for Maze on how she dealt with facing the past before you can deal with the future while she needed to be there for Caitlin. I loved Walker and his name, when he's a secretive sort about his feelings and the past too. But he's sort of guy that's always there for his friends through thick and thin. For a rugged FBI agent, that hits a high note for me. And I did feel for Caitlin who tried to lasso her friends together because they were her friends and more importantly family to her. She also came to gripes about marrying Dillon or not. I loved the location of Wildstone California and the picturesque scenic settings on this small town. The themes are that blood is thicker than water when it comes to all different meanings for family and you can't change the past.

If you're looking for a perfect contemporary romance that hits all the right notes with non-stop action, plenty of drama, hints of humor and a dollop of good laughter, make sure you'll pre-order The Forever Girl today!

Eclair and Presnent Danger

In Laura Bradford's ´Eclair and Present Danger, the first installment in the Emergency Dessert Squad Culinary Cozy Mystery series, this delightful cozy mystery debut kicks up a new cozy that you'll enjoy. Poor Winnie Johnson. When the rent goes up for her bakery in Silver Lake, Ohio, she couldn't afford it to keep it any longer. Then she inherited an antique ambulance and a cat from her elderly neighbor's will. When she deals with her new predicament, she tries to get Lovey to appreciate and love her. At the same time, a hot EMT named Greg Stephens comes by and wanting to buy the antique ambulance. But Winnie and her partner/best friend have a better idea--an emergency dessert squad. With his help, he gave us a tour of an ambulance and how to put it to use with some culinary-related touches. While she kickstarted the business, she checked on a neighbor of hers with a peach pie. And she discovered him dead. Now it's up to her to find out who done it while she's making emergency dessert deliveries and meets her potential love interest. In the end, she narrows down her potential suspects, which hits way too close to home with a shocking twist.

This new culinary cozy series debut was a delightful treat to read and enjoy. I cared about Winnie and how she handled a potential love triangle with Jay and Greg and how she dealt with her ambulatory dessert bakery business to help her afloat. I also wondered if poor Lovey would warm  up to her, though she was so affectionate with others nearby. I did think Mr.  Nelson is a hoot and that Renee is a great friend to Winnie. I do adore the cozy town of Silver Lake, Ohio--there's an actual one nearby where I live, fifteen minutes away. Small world! I loved the fictional counterpart to this small town with a charming location and lovely scenic settings to complete the idealistic imagery. The themes of this cozy are anything's possible, and don't let greed get in the way.

If you enjoy a new culinary cozy series to read with non-stop action, plenty of culinary drama, tons of suspense, and sparks of mystery, you'll sink your teeth into the yummy recipes featured in Eclair and Present Danger.

Early Dawn

In Catherine Anderson's Early Dawn, the 4th installment in the Coulters Historical romance series, this beautiful romance is so well-written and brought tears to my eyes. In the late 1880s, Matthew Coulter lost his wife and his unborn child, when he nearly lost his life from battling the Sebastian brothers. He vowed revenge for his late wife's death, no matter how long it would take. In 1890, Eden Saxton rides the train to No Name Colorado with her mother, escaping from a scandal on her lineage, and dealing with a broken engagement. Along the way, the train gets held up by the Sebastian gang and takes her for hostage... later, they would have their way with her and sell her over the border. Matthew Coulter comes to the train robbery and follows their path to the camp to rescue Eden. From there, they both escape them in the wild west and find a brewing connection together, both holding onto the past. During the past month or so, they dealt with dangers from the wilderness and surviving the elements, when a growing romance sparks between them that's hotter than a campfire. First later, then lovers, their passion heats up while Matthew's vow to seek revenge stands in the way for new romance. In the end, will they let go of the past or start living life for the future together?

It's been so long since I've read a book from Catherine Anderson. And this was a wonderful love story between Eden and Paxton and how love conquers all. I cared for Matthew who had a big chip on his shoulder and who risked his life and life to protect Eden's safety, even later he opened his heart to tell her how he felt about her. I cared for Eden who've been dealt with one too many blows and how she shot a gun to kill snakes and the bad guys.  I could see how wonderful they were meant to be together with a heart-warming and delicious happy ending. I loved the dual locations of the Colorado territory and Oregon for this epic scenic settings for the time period. The theme is to let go of the past and be open to the future for love and life.

If you love enchanted historical romances with tons of non-stop action, plenty of suspense, lots of romance, and a scoop of drama, you'll fall in love with Early Dawn.

RomeAntically Challenged

In Marina Adair's RomeAntically Challenged, the first installment in the When in Rome Contemporary romance series, this delightful new series will sweep you off your feet and leave you in stitches. For Annie Walsh, she wanted a fresh new start after her ex-fiancé ditched her before their wedding and found the "one" for him. She traveled to Rome, Rhode Island, a small town as a traveling Physician's Assistant to look for a new place and deal with a broken heart. There, she founds a place to rent with as she temporary stayed there. But during one night, she ran into Emmitt Bradley, a world-renowned photojournalist who returned from his trip to China, no less. They didn't start off in the wrong foot, when she ended up as his room mate in his house. From there, they've made a temporary arrangement as roomies. Annie, who was born in Vietnamese and adopted by American parents, wants to fit in with the other Vietnamese community in Rome. Other than her friends Lynn and Beckett, she was the new girl in town. As for Emmitt, while he's dealing with injuries from a building collapse, he wants to connect to his daughter Paisley and fit into her life. Together, the magic blossoms and the sparks fly between them when they work together to deal with their issues. They discover they were meant to be together and found each other in the end.

This was a charming new series from Marina Adair. I love all of her work. I did care for Annie's story on how she bumped into finding her way in Rome and finding love with Emmitt when she least expected it. I did like that she was diverse and different to see in contemporary romance novels. I also cared for Emmitt, who wanted Paisley to love him and to heal from his own injuries she suffered from the factory collapse in China. He did bring out the best in her and made me laugh a few times when they exchanged texts and sticky note messages.  I did love the imaginary settings for Rome, RI, for the visionary scenic locations.  The themes are families comes is different forms and find your own community to belong to.

If you love an enjoyable contemporary romance with hints of humor,  non-stop action, hints of drama, sparks of romance, you'll get a kick out of RomeAntically Challenged too.

Dead Woman Crossing

In J.R. Adler's Dead Woman Crossing, the first installment in the Detective Kimberly King crime thriller series, this debut is awesome and twisted with every twisted turn to keep you in suspense. Kimberly King wanted a fresh start when she moved from NYC to Dead Woman Crossing, Oklahoma, with her baby daughter Jessica. In Dead Woman Crossing, this small town is aptly named for its first murder of a young pregnant woman who was decapitated and shot, a century ago. While she had gotten settled in her step-father's farm, she'd noticed changes in her mother's appearance and how aloof and cold her step-father had been to her when she first arrived. But things took a dark turn for the worse, when someone was found murdered the same way as DWC's first murder. Kimberly knew this person and had befriended her before her untimely death. To discover the truth behind this murder, she would have to dig deeper to find the answers and shake things up in that small town, even if all roads lead her close to home in a shocking ending.

This was a compelling debut to kick off this crime thriller series. I did care for Kimberly on how she managed her new job with the DWC PD as the only female on deck. I loved her take-charge attitude and tenacity to get things done while she dealt with such hardships as being a single mother and losing a friend to a brutal murder in NYC. I loved the dark history behind Dead Woman Crossing's past and how rural this small town is in Oklahoma. It had such ambiance for the scenic settings in this location.  I could see a possible love interest connection between her and Sheriff Sam Walker for future novels. The theme is be careful of keeping secrets in a small-town, or it'll find its way back to you.

If you love ground-breaking crime thrillers with non-stop action, plenty of suspense, lots of drama, and heart-pounding intrigue to keep you hooked from start to finish, Dead Woman Crossing is the perfect book for you to read this winter.

Needled to Death

In Maggie Sefton's Needled to Death, the 2nd installment in the Knitting Mystery cozy mystery series, this crafty cozy will keep you suspense without getting you tangled up in knots. It all started for Kelly Flynn as she'd gotten the hang of knitting a sweater, she'd been invited to visit Vickie Claymore's alpaca form by the canyon. But when she'd gotten there, it was too late--she discovered her friend's dead body and reported it in. She broke the news to her knitting circle friends as she called Vickie's daughter Debbie. While her friend's death was under investigation, she learned a lot about alpaca breeding and how to herb livestock on her Wyoming farm. She helped Debbie deal with her late mother's account and unearthed some interesting revelations that shed some dark light into who wanted Vickie dead. But when Debbie had an untimely death due to a massive asthma attack, Kelly had to dig deeper to find out who had killed not one but two people for a selfless careless violent act. It's up to Kelly to get down to the truth before it would be too late and go unnoticed with a gripping ending.

This was another fantastic gripping cozy mystery in the series. I continued to care for Kelly who had dealt with Carl's golf ball issues and contemplating moving to Colorado from DC. She also had to deal with inheriting her late aunt's Wyoming ranch and solving two murders. It was a lot to tackle while she handled with her own accounting work at the solve time. I loved the dual locations of Wyoming and Colorado, which both had amazing scenic settings to depict the storyline. The theme of the story is don't let greed get the best of you by gambling and seek help when you can.

If you love great crafty cozies to knit or purl with heart-stopping drama, plenty of good suspense, lots of non-stop action, and some sharp twists and turns, you'll enjoy Needled to Death today.

Social Creature

In Tara Isabella Burton's Social Creature, this domestic suspense debut is so creepy about obsession in a toxic relationship. Both Louise Wilson and Lavinia Williams are blond young women in their late twenties. When Louise lands a SAT tutoring job for Cordelia, Lavinia's younger sister, they met and bond and become fast best friends. Lavinia is rich and living a good life when she introduces Louise to the NYC party life including her friends. They drink, do drugs, smoke, and stay up late. They're both writers and wants to make a name for themselves. Louise is poor, barely making ends meet with a few PT jobs to help keep her afloat, and wants what Louise has. They do everything together when Louise falls for Rex, Lavinia's ex, which puts a kink on everything when they later have a blow up fight and she accidentally kills her. Now it's up to Louise to dispose of her dead body and pretend "Lavinia" is alive and well in another location when she lives at her home and fools everything by mooching over her money. But how long can she keep up with this façade until the truth comes out and covers up her tracks before she makes a run for it before it's too late with a twisted ending that would give you goosebumps.

This debut was fantastic and intriguing to read from the start to the last page. I loved the 2015 New York City backdrop that took place during a couple months for the location that painted the scenic settings. I did care for Louise in the beginning and how her world changed when she met Lavinia as a new friend and lived a posh lifestyle. I did think Lavinia was a bit too much of a social butterfly, but did feel sorry when she lost her life and Louise took over. My feelings flip-flopped between them throughout them.  The themes are to be watch your back and be careful who you friend since looks can be more than deceiving.

What Lies Between Us

In John Marrs' What Lies Between Us, this thriller is so twisted and creepy on every page from start to finish. For Nina Simmonds, she always wondered what happened to her father when she was a teenager. Her mother Maggie told her lies that he left them and went away. But is that the truth? From there, there was so many secrets between this mother and daughter that stemmed way beyond her turbulent youth. Ever since then, in flashback sequences, we get to learn how deceitful her mother was to her when she was a "wild child" and had gotten herself pregnant twice with the same man who was ten years her senior. That's when they hated each other and the resentment begin to grew and fester like a cancerous cell. Then we return to the present and how they treated each other while they both remained a prisoner in their old family home. Like the old adage of what goes around and comes out with karma, these actions spoke louder than words when Nina imprisoned her own mother in an upstairs bedroom in the same home. Only Nina knows she's there while Maggie harbored secrets of the past herself and what led her doomed fate there and plans to escape. After years of secrets and lies, Nina begins to dig and search for the truth on what happened her then and now when she turns the tables on her mother and turns cold like a trek in the Arctic Circle. Then it spirals out of control when she learns what she's been missing and how she could pay it back when her jealous rage burns like a wildfire until the ultimate climax that would take your breath away on how it would end.

This was a gripping thriller about how far people would call to seek revenge--even a loved one--to some extent. I did feel sorry for Nina in the beginning on how Maggie lied to her throughout the years and how that tormented her, even if it might be for her best interest at heart. I begin to despise Maggie and then switched gears when I felt the opposite in the second half of the book. That's how intense it can flip your feelings for these two unbelievable characters. I loved the locations in Leiceister and other parts of England, especially this haunted old house they lived in for years and  had endlessly tortured each other.   The theme is to be careful with secrets you keep and the lies you tell when it would bite you in the butt later on.

The Siren and the Deep Blue Sea

In Kerrelyn Sparks's the Siren and the Deep Blue Sea, the 2nd installment and the 5th book in the Embraced paranormal romance series, this magical tale would sweep you off your feet and carry you away with the tides.  Maeve had lived in a convent and adopted by four sisters who grew up to be princesses and queens except for her. All her life , she loved Brody since they were teenagers. During her search for him, she needs to locate the Embraced Army on the Isle of Secrets. Brody's not an ordinary human. Due to a curse, he shifts into a dog for most of his life and other animals of humans. After Queen Cahira blew up his father's ship and killed his brother, he was washed ashore and rescued by the Seer, Burien, and grew up on his land. Before the Seer died, he wanted Brody to take over for him to destroy Cahira and the Circle of Five. And he lived up to his promise to spy on the queen. But that's when he ran into Maeve and that complicated things for each other's journey. On the isle, Maeve learns a surprising secrets about her parents and her powers.Though they secretly loved each other for years, they had to defied the odds to fight good vs evil to get that happy ending they so much deserved.

This is a beautiful paranormal romance with excellent visual descriptions and mesmerizing settings to take you there on a wild journey. I cared for Maeve, who longed for Brody, and wanted to fit in with her other sisters. She needed a sense of belonging to find her calling and to look for her own true love. I loved how she could shift into a seal, have a beautiful singing voice as a Siren, and later become a Seer and Queen. Talk about multi-tasking different powers to rule that world and give it a peaceful happy ending to the series. My heart went to Brody who was cursed to be a dog and had two hours of human life, when he wanted to be king and take Maeve as his wife. I also loved the side story of Brody's sister Elinor had found an expected love with Nevis Harden, a sea-faring general. The Isles of Moon, Mist and Secrets were mystical and magical for this paranormal romance for this fantastic novel. The themes are to follow your heart and love will set you free to battle evil.

If you love to be transported to other places with heart-stopping drama, plenty of excellent magical action, tons of suspense, and a spark of romance, check out the Siren and the Deep Blue Sea today.

Sweet Water

In Cara Reinard's newest domestic suspense debut, Sweet Water, this shocking tale will send bone-numbing shockwaves on every page from start to finish. For Sarah Denning, she had everything she could dream of when she married Martin Ellsworth, her college sweetheart, and lived in the life of luxury in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. But when Sarah and Martin discovers their son Finn next to a dead woman near the lake, it changed everything on what they did and didn't do. They left the crime scene and took their son back home for evaluation. She questioned everything about her relationship with Martin, like when she met him in college in flashbacks, and throughout her twenty-year marriage. The Ellsworth had political and law enforcement connections to control, manipulate, and distort everything like making evidence disappear to cover up their tracks. They've been doing it for year when law is powerful with money. As Sarah begins to learn more about what happened to Finn that night, the chain reaction of dominoes falls into place, and secrets resurface front and center. She's determined more than ever to discover the truth even if it might cost her everything until it came tumbling down when her house was set on fire. This gave her the encourage to free herself from her Martin and his family's house of cards to knock it down to the ground in a shocking and twisting ending you would never believe.

This was a fantastic new domestic suspense novel. I instantly cared about Sarah and what kind of relationship she had with Martin and what she would've had with Josh if he didn't say goodbye. We can see how she cares for her sons and how she tried to make things right even if it might cost her everything she had dear. She placed her heart on the line to discover so many cover-ups right from the beginning to cut to the heart of the matter. I rooted for her and felt the same disgust Martin and his family had done in the past.  I loved the location of Sewickley PA, when everything wasn't so sweet for Sarah like she'd first thought.  The scenic settings were mesmerizing to place you there. The theme is to secrets are bound to come out in the open if you don't do the right things.

If you love compelling and mind-numbing domestic suspense novels with twists and turns galore, non-stop action, plenty of heart-pounding suspense and tons of drama, pre-order Sweet Water today!

Outfox

In Sandra Brown's Outfox, this would leave you at the edge of your seat with this fascinating and ultimate cat-and-mouse tale. For FBI Agent Drex Easton, he's been after one goal for many years: to seize and capture a ruthless serial killer named Jasper Ford, a chameleon who changes his names and identities for every kill for over thirty years. And this hits home and close to home for Drex, who considered this his personal mission with this endless pursuit. So he goes undercover as a writer and lives next door to Jasper and his younger wife, Talia, to eavesdrop on their private investigations. But he's fascinated with Talia and kept his distance--is she a friend or foe? As Jasper pulls a disappearing act when a family friend has a boating accident, Drex knew it's Jasper all allong and gets closer to Talia, while FBI Rudkowski's breathing down his neck. The sparks fly between Drex and Talia in the heat of the moment and learns more intimate details on Jasper's weird habits. For this chase, the cat has captured his mouse in a fitting battle of truth and lies with a showdown you will never believe in the end.

This was so captivating and mind-blowing from start to finish with many endless twists and turns right up to the end. I did care for Drex Easton, (I've wondered what his real name was, though never mentioned, or how his father came up with the name), and how he made a vow to his father to find his mother's killer, no matter how many years it would take. I loved how he had many tricks up his sleeves to get the upper hand, until the tables were turned halfway through the novel. I cared for Talia and how she dealt with Jasper's callousness and how she had the last word in the bitter end. Jasper seriously had it coming! I loved the dual locations of Lexington and South Carolina, which was painted so well with picturesque and mesmerizing scenic settings. The themes are to be careful on whom you trust and watch your back, because your past might catch up to you.

Flirting with Danger

In Suzanne Enoch's Flirting with Danger, the first installment in the Samantha Jellicoe romantic suspense series, this enticing novel would keep you thrilled and at the edge of your seat. It all started when Samantha Jellicoe, a cat burglar, was about to steal something in Richard Addison's apartment. Instead, she saved his life when a bomb went off that almost blew him away. After Richard Addison, a British rich man and savvy art collector, came to his senses, he wondered about the elusive lady and had to have her. While Sam went into hiding, she listened to the news reports about the explosion and Googled about Addison before he tracked him down. When he did, they formed an unlikely alliance and partnership to find out who wanted him dead and who ripped him off in fakes. The chemistry between them was palpable hot when they pretended to be dating in the papers, and the lovemaking is off the charts. When she tried to connect the dots and discovered some literal "dead-ends" on who could've targeted her, they talked about their past lives and followed a trial that led right back to Addison's past in London. Though they wouldn't have a future unless something's got to give, he made a proposal she couldn't refuse as he charmed her socks off for a surprising twist in the end.

This is a great romantic suspense novel that's thrilling and enthralling at the same time. I cared for Sam and how she made the best of the situation that's been thrown at her. When she'd gotten herself into a sticky situation, she looked for an alternate option. I do think she and Addison make an unlikely couple, total polar opposites, who had fallen for each other under undue circumstances. And I could see him growing soft for him as well. I loved the dual locations of Florida and then London in the end. The scenic settings were spectacular and mesmerizing to enter their worlds. The  dual theme of the story are opposites attract and be careful what you've done in the past.

If you love enemies-to-lovers romantic suspense novels with plenty of suspenseful twists and turns, heart-stopping drama, non-stop action, and hints of intrigue, check out Flirting with Danger today.

Map of the Heart

In Susan Wiggs's Map of the Heart, this beautiful heart-warming tale is so moving and beautiful about finding love with two love stories interwoven into one. It all started for Camille Adams, a widow and single mother of a teenage daughter named Julie, who works at her mother's store and also a photographer who restores old film. When she worked on restoring Professor Malcolm Finnemore's  film from his late father's camera, she received a phone call about her daughter being in the ER and accidentally destroyed the film. That's when she met Finn and had gotten off on the wrong foot with her. Later, when he discovered what caused it to happen, he began to understand and had gotten to know her better. Meanwhile, Julie's been bullied at school and wants to fit in with others as there's a chemistry sparking between Camille and Finn whenever they're together. At her father's place, he told his story about his he's been bullied because of his father allied with in World War II. With the help of Finn, Camille and his team look into his background to discover his genealogical history on who fathered him when it transported us back to that turbulent war-time when they visit Bellerive France. While on this trip, Julie makes new friends and transforms herself and the romance builds between Camille, who's afraid to fall in love again, and Finn, who wants to build a life with her. In the end, that summer changed their lives when learn about the past that held him back and revealed secrets in the dark to give them a happy ending.

This was a beautiful written woman's fiction novel that tugged your heart strings. I instantly cared for Camille and Julie and how they dealt with significant life issues in Bethany Bay. I felt a true connection between Camille and Finn who didn't hit it off in the beginning, but they make a great team to discover her father's true biological roots. I did feel a connection for Lisette Galli, Henry's father, who was forced in a loveless volatile marriage and found love when she at least expected it with someone else before her untimely death. And I loved how Henry came out and confessed his darkest secret to his family in the end.  I loved the dual locations of present day Bethany Bay by the shore and war-time France during the World War II.  Both had captured the scenic settings wonderfully. The dual themes are to be kind to others and led your heart guide you to find true love.

If you love woman's fiction novels with heart-stopping drama, plenty of action, lots of intrigue, and passionate romance, check out Map of the Heart today.

The Silence

In Kendra Elliott's the Silence, the second installment in the Columbia River romantic suspense series,  this shocking and twisted storyline picked up where the Last Sister left off, months later. It all started for Mason Callahan when he was called at the grisly scene of a disfigured man in his home. They identified him as Reuben Braswell, who was Ava's CI for one of her cases with the FBI. But while her twin sister Jayne's gone missing, she searches for her and recalls her last meeting with Reuben. Then hell had broken loose when there's a shooting at the courthouse when law enforcement officers and federal agents were attacked under assault by deadly weapons. Was the shooting working alone or had a partner? Mason's partner, Ray, was one of the officers who were shot and taken to the hospital. As the manhunt heats up for Ava and Mason, they unravel Reuben Braswell's life and why he was so anti-law enforcement. When tragedy hits close to home for Ava, she needed a closer look to find Jayne and see how she fit into the equation. In the end, while she prepares for her wedding day to Mason, they learn the ice-cold truth on who was the real shooter and why he targeted her family in a life-and-death matter with a standoff in the end.

This romantic suspense deals with dark subject matters and conspiracy theories that's so twisted to spin your head. I did care about Ava on how she'd dealt with life issues from preparing for her wedding, searching for Jayne, and facing an egotistical hothead like Reuben Braswell. I also cared for Mason who looked after her, his children, his partner Ray and other people. I loved Oregon  as the central location especially near the Columbia River and beyond it for its luscious scenic settings. The theme is respect for others and treat everyone with kindness.

If you love heart-stopping action-packed romantic suspense with plenty of drama, sizzling romance, and tons of jaw-dropping twists, check out the Silence today.

How Sweet It Is

In Robin Lee Hatcher's How Sweet It Is, the third installment in the Legacy of Faith inspirational romance series, this beautiful dual timeline story would warm your heart deep down inside. For Jed Henning, he was set out to go to Boise, Idaho to look for his estranged brother Chris. Jed's a workaholic and runs a computer company and rents a downstairs apartment from Holly Stanford. Holly is dealing with a broken heart and had run into financial issues with her restaurant. At first, Holly and Jed become friends and get to know each other better. She also helps abusive women learn  how to cook in a shelter and plan her sister's wedding. While Jed looks for Chris, he reads his great-grandfather Andrew Henning's Bible as we're transported back into time to 1969 when Andrew deals with farm life, his wife's Helen's ailment and his own back pain and other family issues. Between the both timelines, they learn to trust each other and to have faith in God's plans with an emotional climax in the end.

This was a beautiful and heart-wrenching inspirational romance that deals with love, life and heartache in two different eras. I cared for both Jed and Holly, who were looking for answers and turned to God, before they've found each other by a strange twist of fate. I loved how they had dealt with such harrowing issues in their life and how they went about it. I also cared for Andrew who had gone to God for answers and how to embrace faith to give you the step forward to find courage in the end. I loved the rural and picturesque locations in Boise and how these scenic settings transport you there. The theme is to trust in God and put your faith in Him, because he has plans for you.

Torch Ginger

In Toby Neal's Torch Ginger, the 2nd installment in the Lei Crime mystery series, this new caper is so dark and twisted that would keep you on your feet. It all started for Lei, who had transferred to the island of Kaua`i  and is new to the island. She receive a call about a robbery case that had later spiraled out of control case on the island of Kaua`i as the newest detective of the HPD. She's new to the island and received a call about a robbery. From there, it spiraled out of control when she finds a human bone and discovered a dozen missing people related to a cult. That's when she meets Alika Wolcott, while she's torn and deals with her mixed feelings with her former fiancé and her feelings for Alika. She tried to put him past her, but she can't help it. She also deals with the return of her father being released in prison, and as they bond, he joins a halfway house for rehabilitation. With all of this swirled around her, Lei goes undercover when the FBI joins in to take over the reins in the case. And the closer she gets to knowing the truth, the more dangerous it would be to take down the cult leader with her own life in the end.

This was a fantastic second book in the series. I remembered I read and loved Blood Ginger a few years ago. I cared about Lei on how she would deal with her feelings for two men and how she would handle her father's return and working on a day job. I loved how she took the initiative and became her own person. Keiki is a cute dog. I've thought Alika might be a perfect match for her, but things turned out differently late in the end. I loved the Hawaiian backdrop of Kaua'i and how the scenic settings pop for the mesmerizing locations. The theme is to follow your heart and don't be misled by others.

If you love heart-stopping action, plenty of intense drama, lots of suspense and majestic mystery, check out Torch Ginger today!

Take the Shot

In Danica Flynn's Take the Shot, the first installment in the Philadelphia Bulldogs sports romance series, this debut take you on a journey on and off the ice. It started out with Dinah Lace, who works in accounting at day and writes YA books at night. At age 30, she's a young widow who lost her husband in a car crash and later a miscarriage right after it. Her big Italian family is protective of her. But she's been best friends with Noah Kennedy, her twenty-two-year-old Canadian hockey player, and her next door neighbor.  Noah is a rising hockey star for the Philly Bulldogs and always had cared for Dinah--he was there when she almost died from her miscarriage. He always had feelings for Dinah and didn't care about the age gap, when he only wants to be there for her. But when they express their feelings for each other, their chemistry sizzles off the rink and heat things up between them. Noah had always loved her, but he didn't know how Dinah felt about him. When she wanted to tell Noah how she felt during a game, he took a nasty hit from a puck that freaked her out, making her worried that she might lose something she lost again. In the end, they both take the shot to follow their hearts and find a happy ending they deserve together.

This was a fantastic debut for this sports romance series. I love the hockey romance theme with the friends-to-lovers trope. It fits perfectly well into this line-up of a fantastic series. I did care for Dinah who wants to make a go with it in writing and how she felt for Noah in the end. She'd been dealt with a lot of hard knocks in her life and deserves a big break from it. I loved how she cared for him when Noah had gotten injured on the rink and found a writing buddy with Fiona. I also loved how Noah had been there for her when she needed him the most and how supportive he is of her writing career. We all need people in our life like that. We instantly can see how much he cares for her in more ways than one. The picturesque location of Philly was perfect for the scenic settings, both on and off the ice. The dual themes are to follow your heart and don't let any obstacles stand in the way of finding happiness in your life.

If you love intense action-packed sports romance stories with non-stop suspense, plenty of drama and heartfelt romance, shoot for the goal with Take the Shot today.

Puppy Kisses

In Lucy Gilmore's Puppy Kisses, the third installment in the  Forever Home Western contemporary romance series, this heart-warming romance will have you heart thump like a happy puppy's tail. Dawn Vasquez always means serious business. It all started when she rescued a golden retriever from his owner and taken him to Zeke's brother's ranch for rehabilitation as his service dog. That dog fought for her life if it wasn't for dawn. Adam Dearborn had always lived his life as a rancher, even if he was visually impaired and used a cane to get around the ranch. But when Dawn brought Gigi, the golden retriever, onto his ranch, he knew she was nothing but trouble, when she always had a way to get under his skin and make his sweat. While she trained Gigi to be his service dog, she didn't think Gigi was cut out for the dog when Uncle, a Great Dog, fit the job well. During the next couple of weeks, they've gotten close together and the chemistry between them was red-hot. She placed her heart and soul to help Adam have the perfect service dog and want her to love her just the way she is. When he rebuffed her feelings, she came up with a plan to tell Adam how she felt by placing her proverbial cards on the table and putting her life on the line to call his bluff. In the end, she received a happy ending including her man Adam.

This was a delightful contemporary romance that has a Western twist to it. I cared for Dawn and how she's a risk-taker and gets what she wants in the end. I loved how she rescues dogs and cares for them by training them to be service animals. I loved how she wouldn't mind going out of her way, including getting her boots dirty in the process or stepping into cow manure. I loved how Adam didn't let his visual impairment interfere with his ranching duties on the ranch, or to lasso Dawn as his woman. I loved how diverse the cast is with Adam's blindness and Dawn and her sisters being Hispanic. It's so rare to see these types of characters being portrayed in the literary world. Dawn the cow was a hoot, and Gigi and Uncle did steal parts of the show. I loved the Western settings being depicted in Oregon and how the ranch life  filled the scenic locations very well. The main theme is to treat animals for kindness and toe the line to follow your heart to fulfill your dreams.

If you love romances that features adorable puppies with non-stop action, plenty of drama, lots of sizzling romance, and plenty of suspense to keep you hooked straight to the end, you'll love Puppy Kisses.

Stranger in the Lake

In Kimberly Belle's A Stranger in the Lake, this newest domestic suspense is so twisted, that it hit a home run right out of the ballpark. Charlotte McCreedy lived in a trailer park with a druggie mother, an absentee father, and her baby brother Chet, during her youth. But a year ago, she met and married Paul Keller, a rich man who's 10 years her senior, and a widower, and lived in a home on the Lake.  She was happy and just found out she's pregnant with her first child, when she later looked for Paul on the dock, talking to a woman. Hours later, she's found dead in the lake with a suspicious death. It brought up memories of how Paul's first wife Katherine landed in the lake as well. Paul's been acting suspicious and Charlotte wants to know why that is, as we have multiple flashbacks from Jax, Paul's long lost-best friend, and the events that led to that tragic night in the past. Everyone has their eyes on him and leaving vicious presents on her doorstep. Charlotte's friend Sam warned her about him before she married Paul and more questions pop out about this lady's death and why she came to Lake Crosby in the first place. In the end, Charlotte doesn't know who to trust and who to believe, when she comes face to face with a killer and does the right thing in the end to free herself.

This was a compelling domestic suspense about secrets and lies and how it can destroy lives and relationships. I cared for Charlie and how she survived a rough, poor childhood and how she had thought she had met her prince charming... when it later become almost the opposite. I loved how she searched for answers to get to the bottom of this mess and how she relied on her brother Chet when the tough get going through it all. I've thought Paul was a honest man in the beginning. But later I became suspicious like Charlotte died. I loved the lake town of Lake Crosby and how it painted a vivid picture with mesmerizing during the winter with a frozen lake. The theme is to confession's good for the soul and be truth and honest in a relationship, even if the past might come back to haunt you.

If you love dark psychological thrillers with tons of non-stop action, plenty of suspense, lots of wicked twists and heart-stopping drama, check out A Stranger in the Lake today.

Sunburn

In Laura Lippmann's Sunburn, this crime thriller will keep you guessing and turning every page in this cat-and-mouse caper. Polly Costello planned on heading west. She has a shady past and planned to make a clean break in Belleville, Maryland. When she works at a diner, she meets Adam Bosk, the new line cook, and things change between them. Adam's not your ordinary line cook and hides a secret when he observes Polly and becomes intimidate with her, getting closer to each other until they fall in love. As Polly plans to divorce her husband and leave her daughter in his hands, she kept her hidden past a secret until one of her co-workers learns about it and threatens to expose her. Then things heats up when there's a fire at her house and kills her instantly. Later on, as they investigate the fire, there's a brewing chemistry between Adam and Polly when they know about each other's secrets and decide what to do about it. Before they planned to make a fresh start, there's an explosive and twisted climatic ending that you wouldn't dare believe what happened next.

This was a fantastic and compelling crime thriller from Laura Lippman. This caper had everything you wanted and then some in a classic cat-and-mouse storyline between two people who had secrets--one deadly, one not so fatal. I did care for Polly (aka Pauline) on how she wanted to live her life with total freedom and no restrictions. She had everything going right for her until she met Adam in Belleville and troubling chemistry brewed between them. No one knew what lengths she had to go through to get to this point and kept her past hidden. And Adam was a charming character who got him under her skin and fell hard for Polly, though he did what he wanted to do to be with her in the end. The small town of Belleville was charming and compelling for this mystery thriller to keep you up at night, when everyone might know more than your name. The theme is to don't get burned when you follow your heart.

If you love action-packed capers with tons of non-stop drama, plenty of intrigue, hints of romance, and lots of twists and turns, Sunburn is the perfect book for you.

Coldwater

In Tom Pitts's Coldwater, this crime thriller is so riveting with plenty of twists and turns on every page. It all started when Gary Carson's neighbors, the Perkins, moved from the neighborhood.  That's when he noticed suspicious activity in his house and called the police. They believed it was a squatters, when it turned up to be something else. Across the street, rich kid Jason De Wildt, is looking for a place to hide and a place to do drugs. The more suspicious Gary and his wife Linda are of them, the more dangerous the situation becomes from them. During this time, Jason's curious of the Carsons and from Calper Dennings, a fixer who works for his father, a heir to a fortune. When he kidnaps Linda, Gary teams up with Calper to look for his wife and learns the shocking connection between De Wildt and the Perkins. In this wild and lethal goose chase, things come ahead and heated when there's a shootout at a home and Gary's hit by a bullet and ends up in a coma. It's up to Linda to get to the bottom of this twisted mess in this life-and-death matter for a shocking conclusion.

This was a riveting and compelling crime thriller that would leave you at the edge of your seat. I cared for both Linda and Gary Carson, who wanted a fresh start after she had a miscarriage, and moved to a peaceful neighborhood in California. I was a bit worried and suspicious of their quiet neighborhood and the dangerous mess they left behind. I hoped they can start anew after what went down on their block and looked forward to a new day. I loved the Northern California locations and the sweeping scenic settings in Sacramento.  The theme is don't get power hungry with greed when dealing with dangerous people.

If you love heart-stomping crime thrillers with tons of action-packed suspense, non-stop drama, lots of mystery, and shocking twists and turns, check out Coldwater today!

Carolina Breeze

In Denise Hunter's Carolina Breeze, the second installment in the Bluebell Inn Romance inspirational romance series, this beautiful loveswept and tender-hearted novel is so inspiring and moving about finding love when you least expect it. For Mia Emerson, she's a rising Hollywood star and recovering from a broken engagement. In the middle of a potential spotlight for a scandal with her male leading star,  she escapes Hollywood and lands in Bluebell, North Carolina to the inn where her grandparents made their legacy there. She hides out there to deal with the blow and lick her own proverbial wounds. That's when she meets the innkeeper, Levi Bennett, the older brother of his two younger sisters, Grace and Molly, who help run the same family inn. While she kept up with her anonymity, they knew who she was and didn't alert the press.  He's been hard-pressed to keep up with the financials, but he acted like a loyal friend and supporter to Mia as a tour guide and a valet around the town. Within time, Mia befriends Molly, who's waiting for a proposal from her boyfriend Adam, and Grace, who has no wishes to go to college and build a business of her own. As she prepares for her latest movie role,  someone leaked out the press on her whereabouts, causing a maelstrom of the Paparazzi to interrupt their lives. Out of instinct, both Mia and Levi pretended to become a couple, when later on, they discovered they had the real thing--they started to have feelings for each other while they searched for a hidden family heirloom. But when things get serious, they broke up, leaving Mia reeling since her parents abandoned her and wants someone to love her for once. Within time, after Levi deals with a flood in his apartment, he lets his sisters run their own lives and be happy and reunites with Mia when she returns home to get her fairy tale ending.

This was another beautiful and lovely Christian romance novel from Denise Hunter. This was so heart-warming and moving to read Levi's and Mia's love story and how they've both found faith in God. I instantly cared for Mia on how she made herself a star to go for her dream roles she's passionate about. And I love how she bonded with Molly and Grace and how she wanted to become closer to her grandparents and why her father abandoned her when she was little. She's the perfect underdog to root for and how she followed her heart and for her love for Levi. I loved how she looked out for her sister and how he had so much weight on his shoulders concerning the inn's financials. But whenever he was with Mia, he became looser and less tensed and less stressed. He opened his heart and let her in and told his sisters how he held back on everything. I loved the dual locations of Bluebell, North Carolina, which sounded so lovely and idyllic, and also in Los Angeles, California. The scenic settings were mesmerizing and came full of life on every page. The themes of the novel are that you never know where you'll find love and that God will never abandon you as long as you have faith.

If you love beautiful inspiring Christian romance novels with non-stop drama, plenty of intrigue, hints of action, and sparks of romance, check out Carolina Breeze today.

Sew Deadly

In Elizabeth Lynn Casey's Sew Deadly, the first installment in the Southern Sewing Circle crafty cozy mystery series debut, this riveting new cozy series will have you at the edge of your seat. When Victoria "Tori" Sinclair moved to Sweet Briar, South Carolina, from Chicago, it was a fresh new start for her when she landed a new librarian job. But things aren't when they seem when fellow Southerners treated her as an outsider. Her first day at the job didn't go as planned and she needed to impress others in a local sewing circle by her skills and what treats she brought to the table. The former librarian gave her a hard time, certain objects disappeared from her left to right, and she discovered a dead body. At the certain of all, she envisioned a children's room in the library and dodges the local police as a potential person of interest. She does a bit of snooping  on her own to clear her name and  discovers what happened to the deceased in question. If that wasn't enough, she charmed the local kindergartners, helped a local girl to learn to read, and had swoony feelings for their teacher.  In the end, she solved the puzzle, learned new revelations, and made herself a home in Sweet Briar to start her new life there.

This was a charming introduction to this crafty cozy debut by Laura Bradford (aka Elizabeth Lynn Casey). I did instantly care for Tori on how she devoted her time to help children to read and experiments for their reading assignments. I did connect with her and how she transformed an ordinary room to something extraordinary in the end. I loved how she didn't give up and made new friends who had her back. I've found the Sweet Briar community charming and endearing for a small town in South Carolina. The theme is to find people who get you and never give up your dreams, no matter what it is.

If you love a great crafty cozy with tips to help you started with non-stop drama, plenty of suspense, lots of action, and plenty of mystifying twists to keep you guessing, check out Sew Deadly today!

Buried

In Lynda La Plante's Buried, the first installment in the DC Jack Warr thriller series, the Queen of Crime Thriller had cooked up a compelling and complex storyline. It all started for Jack Warr and his fellow police officers had discovered a dead, burned skeleton corpse skeleton in a cottage house. From there, they picked up the pieces of who died in the fire, which led them to the discovery of a train robbery from two decade ago. In flashback sequences, we learn who this female bandits were and why they stole diamonds and money from this train. While Jack worked hard to earn a promotion with the force, he'd dealt with a devastating blow that his adoptive father was dying from cancer and the revelation he was adopted at age five. That prompted him to search for his biological father, which might have a strange relatable connection to this case in hand. From there, Jack and his fellow police officers work hard to discover new leads from identifying the dead body and why he'd gotten caught into the train robbery mess. While the female robbers in their later years planned to thwart the police like they did in the past, they were one step ahead of them. In the end, while they discover an old trail  to lead them out of Europe, it was up to them to stop them in the tracks before it became too late.

This was an interesting and compelling new thriller series from Lynda La Plante. I instantly cared about Jack, who wanted to voice his opinions and have heard to DCI Ridley and others. I was heartened to hear about his father's dying from cancer and how he yearned to know about his biological father... though it might've been obsessive at times. But I can see how he cared about Maggie and how she cared about him. He could be a stand-out lead for the rest of the series. I loved the English scenic settings and the mesmerizing locations throughout the story. It took us there and set us to places even back in time to the train robbery. The theme is that blood might be thicker than water, but love who you with and not to take life for granted.

If you love hard-core crime thrillers with plenty of twists and turns that leave you guessing with non-stop action, and plenty of dramatic suspense with lots of intrigue and mystery, check out Buried today!

Unveiling the Past

In Kim Vogel Sawyer's Unveiling the Past, this beautiful Christian novel will warm your heart and tug on your heart strings. For Meghan De Ford-Eagle, she's always wanted to know about her father who's been absent in her life. She's a Cold Case Detective in Carson Springs, Arkansas, and works there with her husband Sean Eagle. When she asked her mother Diane about his name and how to contact him, it set them off on a personal journey of exploration and for forgiveness. When her boss assigned Megan to a new case, he split them up and worked with someone else. While she worked with a missing persons case, her husband Sean stayed on with the same case he worked on with a new partner. While she worked in Fort Smith, her mother Diane reaches out to Kevin Harrison, a workaholic who had failed marriages, and a weak relationship with his step-son Kip. When they meet for the first time in years, she forgives him and helps him redecorate a loft apartment in Las Vegas with her mother Hazel. While Megan waffled on the decision on motherhood and starting her own private investigation agency with Sean, she asked God for his help on truth, on forgiveness, and to help find answers for her client on the search for her missing father. In the end, both mysteries are solved, and Meghan sees things in a new light and a new definition on family in the end.

This novel was so beautifully written and so lovely to read. I cared about Diane on her journey to forgive Kevin and to help him see the error of his ways with Kip. I could see her softened to him as Kevin warmed up to Meghan and made it up to him. I loved Meghan on how she took charge of a tough investigation and found a closeness bond to Sheila Menke, who wanted answers on her father Anson. I also cared for Sean on how he stuck to his guns and his crusty partner Tom Farber when they got down to the truth on a sad cold case. I loved the trio of locations of Las Vegas and Fort Smith and Carson Springs, Arkansas. It came to life like a moving picture show and transported you there. The themes are that family comes in different shapes and sizes and not only from blood and to put your trust and faith in God.

If you love inspirational heart-warming novels with plenty of non-stop drama, lots of action, great suspense, and plenty sparks of intrigue, check out Unveiling the Past today.

The Wife Who Knew Too Much

In Michele Campbell's The Wife Who Knew Too Much, this shocking new thriller is so dark and twisted, it would leave your head spinning by the ending. When Tabitha Girard met Connor Ford years ago, it was love at first sight.  But when other people, like her grandmother, warned her about him, she was already head over heels in love with him. And they broke up and went their separate ways. Years later, she met Connor at the restaurant she worked at as a waitress. They reconnected and restarted their love affair, though he was married to an older rich woman he didn't love. They had to keep their reunion under wraps since he planned to leave his wife for her. But then things had hit a snag. Tabitha discovered about  her pregnancy ,and planned to tell him on Nina's 4th of July party--the same night when her ex stalked her, someone tried to run her off the road, and then Nina drowned in her pool. Shortly after her death, she married Connor and lived the glamorous life to travel to UAE for work. But when she arrived in Windswept, she learned how she was the outsider and how Nina's staff had appeared unwelcoming to her. Caught in a media blitz with the press, people pointed her out as the killer, putting additional pressure when the police came swarming in interview and later arrest her. To prove her innocence and Connor's,  she would have to find out who had it in them and why... in a life-and death battle in the end.

This was another shocking thriller that had plenty of twists and turns. I cared for Tabitha and the sordid messes she'd gotten herself into, when she was younger, and now years later. But we can see how much she cared and loved Connor, though she doubted him with a certain degree. Nina was a cold bitch we all love to have, though her staff didn't exactly worship the ground she walked on. Connor was torn and did tell the truth, though it might come too late. I didn't like Juliet much and despised her right in the end. I loved the dual locations between Dubai and good old NYC in the USA--very mesmerizing and awestruck for the scenic settings to transport us there. The theme is to be careful on who you trust and what you might know in the end.

If you love heart-stopping, twisted dark thrillers with a sucker-punch for drama, plenty of intense suspense, non-stop action, and a hint of mystery, pre-order The Wife Who Knew Too Much when it comes at the end of the month!

River of Lies

In R.M. Greenaway's River of Lies, the 5th installment in the B.C. Blues Crime thriller series,  this startling tale had a bit of deep overtones that tugs at the heart. It's February, the most romantic month of the year, that's filled with romance and love and promises. But for Detectives Cal Dion and Dave Leith at the RCMP, it's nothing but that, when they were assigned on another case. It all started with a tragic death of a elementary school's janitor. While they worked that angle, a call for a missing child approached their desks. From there, it landed on a bunch of tangled up lies and deceit in the midst of a custody case between two parents. In the midst of the all is the children, when one's withdrawn from the world, and later takes his life in his own hands at his young age. From there, they discover what really happened and what went wrong, when another child's caught in the crossfire of heated argument. Lo and behold, they pieced the together the biggest mystery of it all. Is the child still alive or buried to hide the fact of an accidental death? When they clinched the two cases together to form this big and darkened mystery, they learned a whole lot of twists and turns that would love you shocked in the end with a gripping climax.

This was another terrific crime thriller from RM Greenaway. I instantly cared for poor Luna Garland and Vivi and Tiago Garland. They were caught in the middle of a complicated custody battle. I also cared for Cal who had gotten his heart broken and crushed from Kate, and how to look over his shoulder, due to a previous case he worked on for the RMCP. I did think Jane (JD) Temple might have feelings for Cal when she least expected it. But she's one tough police detective who helped cracked open this case. I did love the compelling scenic settings and amazing Canadian locations for this story that placed me there in the scene. The theme is that family matters when you put your kids first, no matter how old or troubled they are. Resolve the issues too.

If you love great crime thrillers with non-stop action, plenty of drama, lots of suspense, and sparks of twists for a mystery, check out River of Lies today.
