Deadly Fear

If you love red hot and sexy romantic suspense series, you'll enjoy this series from Cynthia Eden. She explored our fears and terrifies us with this first book in the Deadly series with intriguing danger in Deadly Fear. For  FBI Agents, Monica Davenport and Luke Dante, two former lovers were reunited in this tough case. A serial killer was after vulnerable and weak women as his prey, making them break with utilizing their fears to kill them slowly. And he was now after Davenport for one reason. While they were after the Watchman, the sexual chemistry heated up again between them, while they both had troubled pasts and dark secrets. And only this serial killer knew how to use them. Fever pitch, this one was something you'll delve into, when it reached your own psyche. Great suspense and a whole lot of romance. You'll never see this coming in this series with a surprising deep dark twist in the end.

This romantic suspense novel surely packed a whole lot of shocking twists and turns. I loved how Monica and Luke were brought together to rekindle their romance. I loved how Luke cared about her, when their innermost secrets might be exposed. I loved the locations this novel took us on, too. This one sent me shivers up and down my spine with ice prickles. There was a lot of intriguing drama, hot romance to melt the pages, and an insane storyline plot to keep you reading with non-stop action.

Midnight Come Again

Dana Stabenow does it again. In the 10th installment of the Kate Shugak series, this one is another winner. When Alaskan State Trooper Jim Chopin have been requested to track down Kate Shugak, who went MIA for a couple of months, after the loss of her boyfriend, Jack Morgan. Undercover, Jim finds her in Bering Alaska under an assumed name at a local air field. Both of them have twelve-hour shifts. And when midnight strikes again, that's when one takes over for the other. Things get dicey, when they're both after a Russian Mafia who's been "fishing" and smuggling a dangerous chemical and money. And when they're get closer to the truth, they get closer to danger, when someone winds up dead. Hot on the heels, the FBI's on the case and have their dithers on Kate's involvement or knowledge on their investigation. Great drama with a fantastic Alaska setting and lots of intrigue. We really feel for Kate, who's still in mourning and want to be left alone. And Poor Jim, who decided to give up on her and his feelings for her. Midnight Come Again is another winner.

Little Night

This is a beautiful story coming from LuAnn Rice. Twenty years ago, Claire Burke tried to protect her sister from an abusive husband. She spent two years in prison and became estranged from her sister since then. This is a heart-warming story about abuse and family, when her niece visits her from Denmark and reveals to Claire secrets from her dysfunctional family home. She also reconnects with her high school boyfriend Paul, who never gave up on her and still loves her. Claire and her niece tried to reach out to her sister Anne even via online. With the love of nature and birds, they transcend love from there with symbolism on their past lives. In the second half of the story, they learn some shocking secrets in the end. This one real move you to tears.

Final Sail

If you like light cozies that are fun to read, you'll enjoy the 11th installment in the Helen Hawthorne Dead-End series.  In Final Sail, newly married, Helen and Phil were now a husband and wife PI team. Their first case was a tough one. When another one popped up, it was time for Helen to go undercover on a yacht for an emerald smuggler and Phil to tail a black widow type, who was more than she seemed. While these two cases were ongoing at the same time, it was up to Helen to find a connection to between them. They learned some interesting secrets on the high seas and on Hendin Island in Florida, when there's more than meets the eye. This cozy packs a double whammy of surprises for an enjoyable read.

This was another stellar cozy from Elaine Viets. I loved the setting of placing it on a sailboat and the open seas. That definitely built up drama and suspense as well. I loved the pairing of Helen and Phil, who both worked as a PI team and a newlywed couple. I hope there would be new cozies in the series, if it's not the end.

Nightwatcher

If you love heart-pacing thrillers, you'll enjoy Wendy Corsi Staub's Nightwatcher, the first installment in the NightWatcher thriller trilogy. Set during 9/11/01 in New York City, before the War of Terrorism started, we were introduced to Allison Taylor and James MacKenna. Two different people who led two different lives, who both were neighbors and friends in the same apartment. But besides the terror out there, someone lurkedinside their apartment building, when one of their neighbors named Kristina Haines were bludgeoned and murdered. And while Allison and Mac get to know each other better, dangers reared its ugly head, when someone else was killed in the same complex watching them every night. Many twists and turns to keep you guessing and at the edge of your seat, until Jerry Thompson was caught and discovered.

What an excellent introduction to this shocking, twisted and wild thriller. I cared about Allison and Mack as they had had troubled and tormented lives who shared the same living space. I liked the 9/11 theme for the location and setting of the novel in New York City to shine a spotlight. I thought something was a bit off with Jerry per se, especially for his sordid life. This would send you cold chills and goosebumps from head to toe with every mind-blowing turning page with drama, a hint of romance, suspense and intrigue.

Keep a light on, when you read this thriller! Check it out today!

Death at Wentwater Court

Picture 1920s England. This is where the Daisy Dalrymple series starts, when Daisy is an up and coming journalist/author in a male-dominated field. She's young and lively. And when she's at the parts for the Wentwater family on its estate, she witnesses a murder. When Detective Alec Fletcher from Scotland Yard come on scene, there's some chemistry between them, a possible romance. And even if you're royalty, things take center stage and go on the hot seat. It's up to Daisy to figure out about the murder, with or without Fletcher's help to set the record straight. Beautiful history and culture to set the scene for the entire series. A delightful read.

The Dirty Secrets Club

In Meg Gardiner's The Dirty Secrets Club, the first installment in the Jo Beckett thriller series in this stellar thriller debut,  you want to sink your teeth into this one that would leave you chilled and breathless. Jo Beckett was a shrink for the dead. She examined why the people died and how they died. And when she had gotten entangled into this mess of discovering about the roots of the Dirty Secrets Club, it placed her right in the center of danger. It drudged up the past of her recent loss. She wasn't an ordinary woman with mystical cultural roots. And there was a lot of surprises to give you an oh wow factor for this thriller. Danger, darkness, mayhem and plenty of drama to keep you guessing and right at the edge of your seat.

This one will make you a big fan of all of her thrillers yet to date. I cared for Jo on this wild adventure, when she had gotten caught up into a mess of sorts. She was unique and personable with a mixed heritage to make her more than ordinary. I became concerned on how she dealt with her loss, even when it might come into light of being exposed. I loved the California locations and settings for this wild thriller. This would take you to a fanciful journey from past to present with great drama, non-stop action, intrigue and suspense, straight to the end.

Will you be a member of the dirty secrets club? If so, be wary with a copy today!
