Accidentally Famous

In this blog post,  I reviewed Marissa Clarke’s Accidentally Famous, the second installment in the Hideaway Harbor romance series. This romcom novel is so exquisite with the tropes of fake dating and opposites attract to make this enchanted love story work. For Cassidy James, she’s been pining after her childhood crush, Tristan McGuffey, for years, when he hasn't really noticed her in her small town of Blink, Maine. She’s been doing home renovation videos on Youtube by fixing up on old homes. For Jack Winson, he’s a famous Hollywood action star. But when his assistant accidentally tagged her Insta posts, she traveled to her small town to fix the situation. And their stars are crossed and aligned, when they meet together, dealing with the press, and helping me increase her popularity online, they’d conquered any obstacles including his manager to make this romance work into great extremes.

This fascinating romcom would have you rooting and applauding Jack and Chelsea in every corner. I fell in love with them as an individual and a couple, who find their person in each other. They both helped each other from start to finish to find what they were missing and looking for together. I loved the small town feel in Blink, and the captivating scenery in Los Angeles for the settings.. The theme of the story is that love would sneak up on you when you’ll least expect it.

If you love enchanted romcoms with plenty of nail-biting romantic drama, and lots of sparking tension, you’ll love Accidentally Famous. This novel is recommended for fans who love Hallmark movies, Abby Jimenez, Talia Hibbert, and Ali Hazelwood.
